Any more experienced PC user needs to know the basics of handling operating systems. The whole charm of Windows lies in the fact that, regardless of the version and service configuration, the basic management settings practically do not undergo changes.
The design, functionality, and speed of the system may change, but such components as the task manager,
command line, reboot and shutdown functions always remain unchanged in management.
In part, this facilitates the use of updated versions of Windows, because even if you previously had Win 95 installed and you decided to install Seven, you will not be baffled by the questions: "How to find the control panel?" or "How to call the task manager?" Because this process does not change from version to version.
For instance. How to call the task manager? We will do this in three different ways.
The first way. Enter the "Control Panel", click with the mouse (right button) on the free space from the icons to bring up the auxiliary menu. In the list of available functions, you will see the corresponding line. Call the task manager with the left mouse button. That's all. But there are times when the control panel is not available.
The second way. On the keyboard of your computer (or laptop), press the Ctrl + Alt + Del keys alternately. The system control panel will appear in front of you, in the window of which several options will be offered. You will immediately understand how to call the Task Manager. If this does not happen, do not hit the keys again and again, believing that something did not work. Perhaps your system is just overloaded and cannot instantly fulfill your request.
The third way. The simplest but least known. This option is mainly used by professional programmers and specialists in the field of IT-technologies. At the command line (Run) you need, using the English keyboard layout, enter the word "taskmgr" and press Enter. After that, the task manager will instantly appear on the screen.
A few words about functionality
Now you know how to call the task manager quickly and easily, so no more difficulties should arise. After all, there are not so many problems that the dispatcher is unable to cope with. Whether your game is hanging, or if a virus-banner has blocked the system’s control, this simple function will help you quickly calculate and turn off an unwanted process from work, and then from startup, if circumstances so require.
Also, with its help, you can monitor the temperature of the central processor, the RAM load and even calculate what exactly your RAM is “clogged” with. In order to turn off the active process from work, just right-click on its icon, select “Go to the process” and click on the “Remove” button.
These simple tricks should permanently save you from unnecessary questions that inevitably arise when working with any OS. Calling the task manager is the same as calling the service department asking for help. The ability to independently manage some problems while working on a PC significantly saves time and money.
