Our people are increasingly moving away from the tradition of just drinking and are increasingly beginning to love the style of drinking exquisitely and ornately. And various cocktails that have a pleasant taste and are decorated at the highest level help a lot in this. For lovers of strong drinks who do not want to exchange for weak ones, there are lots of offers, in particular the cocktail “Red Dog”. The taste is phenomenal, it looks beautiful, intoxication - in the expected degree. And you feel like a gentleman!
Why a dog?
Unlike most cocktails, the “Red Dog” is so named because of its effect on the taste buds. If the drink is prepared correctly, then when you drink it, you get the feeling that a small dog with very sharp teeth grabs your tongue. The cocktail owes its color to the same sauce: it seems that the layer in the glass is red. Sometimes it also resembles rags of dog hair, but this is only if you come across a barman virtuoso.
Classical “Red Dog”: composition and preparation
To make a cocktail you will need elite ingredients - still, not a “Screwdriver” is being prepared. The process is as follows: in an elegant glass, sambuca is poured in a volume of 25 ml. Tequila in the same amount is layered on top of it. There are two tricks: firstly, the second drink should belong to the silver variety, so that the border between the components is invisible. Secondly, tequila should not mix with sambuca, so you need to pour on a spoon or on the wall. And finally, the justification for the name "Red Dog": five drops of Tabasco sauce. Dropped neatly, they hang between layers of alcohol. Drink a drink in one gulp. And biting an invigorating Tabasco is somewhat indecent: because of it, the whole story started!
Alternative "Dog"
Whatever “Red Dog” you like, remember: strong drinks that quickly affect the body. Count your strengths in time to get home, or prepare a cocktail at home. Despite the fact that the above recipe is considered world-famous, another cocktail of a more complex composition competes with it for the right to be proudly called the “Red Dog”. To create it, 30 grams of vodka (not ordinary, but orange), 125 ml of whiskey (you can request your favorite variety) and 90 g of cranberry and orange juice are poured into a shaker. Ice is put in a glass with the proud name "collins2", ginger ale (90 ml) is poured, and the contents of the shaker are layered on top. Not everyone can master such a volume and such a vigorous composition!
