Another thing is that also in many audio, video and other players, turning off the computer is used as a function of protection against excessive and useless use of system resources. These programs include WinAmp, Aimp, and other programs that play sound tracks. For example, if you like falling asleep to music or an audiobook, then just set “turn off the computer” in the appropriate menu for certain parameters: end the music track, playlist or set a specific time. Other ways
The least popular, but at the same time very convenient, is the use of the command line. If you have problems with the operating system and the button on the Start menu does not work, but at the same time you do not want to risk the device by disconnecting the PC from the network, turning off the computer from the command line will be a real salvation for you. In order to do this, you need to perform the following simple manipulations:
1) Enter the command prompt and enter the following: shutdown -s -t 0
With this command, you immediately turn off your PC without using any other support services.
2) To restart the computer, you can use the following command: shutdown -r -t 0
Common problems
One of the relatively popular PC-related issues is spontaneous shutdown of a computer. First of all, it is a signal of danger, and such moments should be avoided. A similar problem may indicate the following: the computer was turned off due to excessive (above 75-80 degrees) overheating of the central microprocessor or because of problems associated with the operating system. In order to understand what exactly happened, the next time you start the PC, start the task manager and in the corresponding window view the CPU temperature. If it is close to critical, then it's time to call a master who will lubricate the joint between the motherboard and the CPU with special thermal grease.
