Born on January 11, 1957 in Korkino, Chelyabinsk Region. Russian poet and prose writer. In 1978 he graduated from the Kurgan Military-Political School (received a gold medal). And in 1990 he graduated from the faculty of the military-political academy with a pedagogical profile and the adjunct studies of Moscow University with a military direction.
In 1996, Alexander Kerdan presented his dissertation "Art in the system of means of forming the honor of an officer of the Armed Forces of Russia." He served in the Soviet Army for 27 years, and then in the Russian Army, where he was a political worker, teacher, and then a military journalist.
In 2001, A. Kerdan went into the reserve, received the rank of colonel. In 1993 he joined the Union of Writers of Russia. In 2004, he became secretary of the board of the writers' union, and in 2009, co-chairman of the board.

The novel, written by Alexander Kerdan, is Star Mark. Poor Georgian Prince George invokes mother’s death from the capital home. There he receives a letter from his childhood friend Nikolai. He is appointed without any reason to a diplomatic mission in Washington to the position of deputy attorney. Nikolai confesses that he is in a bad story, asks for the help of a friend and hands him a password - a piece of the skin on which the star is painted. The letter leads the hero to Countess Polina, who was Nicholas's cousin, and he also finds secret notes of a friend. In these notes, he says that he became a freemason, and his work in the diplomatic mission actually covers up a lie to sell Alaska. With this begins the adventure of the protagonist.
