Origin of the word
Like many other terms, the word "concept" is borrowed from the Latin language. Literally conceptio means "system of understanding." Initially, the term denoted a system of folding letters into syllables, because in syllables, letters are connected with each other and acquire meaning, turning into words. In general, the literal translation fully characterizes the meaning of the word used today, and “concept” may well mean a system of understanding of something.
