What is a vine?
It is a long and thin branch. Mostly, this is a stem of grapes. Mistakenly, some people call the vine the plant itself - grapes. With the help of processes (commonly called antennae), the vine wraps around the plants, which makes it possible to obtain support for its further growth. Also, the vine performs the function of vegetative propagation.
There is a second meaning that answers the question: what is a vine. This is the name of the different species of willows. The vine is used for weaving. This is a special craft, expressed in the manufacture of wicker products from vines: baskets, vases, furniture, etc.
What tree of vine?
In the vine weaving, these are annual willow branches. Many of us in childhood called this plant a “weeping” tree. It is with willow and willow that a huge number of legends are associated in Ukrainian folklore.
Weaving came to us from the last century. Back in the 18-19th century, this type of fishing was relevant, especially in places where there were rivers. The vine is a wonderful material from which weave baskets for collecting potatoes. They are called "potato" baskets. Such paper products are often made and placed on a desk.
