The relatively recent entry of grapes into Siberian orchards with good agricultural technology did not contribute to the accumulation of pathogens of diseases of this culture. Amateur vineyards did not need chemical protection.
But the vines of different varieties imported from other lands and regions neglected led to the emergence and spread of dangerous grape diseases. The most harmful of them is oidium - a fungal disease of grapes, the treatment of which is started immediately.
Meet: Oidium, it’s powdery mildew, it’s the ashes
First discovered more than a century and a half ago in England, this grape disease rapidly spread throughout the world. Varieties resistant to oidium in nature are very few. If a white coating appears on a young vine (most often at the base of the buds), spreading over the entire shoot or already turning yellowish or black (in this case the shoot seems to be charred, it dries up), be aware that this is an oidium - a grape disease. Treatment with fungicides is a sure way to destroy this scourge. It is necessary to process the plant immediately when such a plaque is detected. The next stage of the development of the disease: on the leaves, often on the upper side, the fungus manifests itself in a gray powdery coating, the leaf becomes covered with brown specks and dries. But the most dangerous is the defeat of grapes, on which the parasite can multiply from the moment of their ovary to ripening. The brush bristles with a greasy gray coating, the berries are covered with specks first, wrinkled and dried.
If the berries are ripening, then wet rot appears. The peel on the grapes crack and the seeds stick out. There are few sugars in berries; ripening does not occur. With a strong defeat by oidium, grapes are unsuitable for consumption. Another fungus is gray rot, but it only affects berries, which is typical for this

Measures to combat fungal ailments
Oidium is a formidable disease of grapes. Planting treatment at the first sign can begin with the use of colloidal sulfur. It is poorly soluble in water, so they practice spraying the drug in the morning in calm, warm weather after the green part of the vine dries. Sulfur is mixed with well-sifted wood ash in a ratio of 3: 1. At the first manifestations of oidium, spraying is used with a solution of potassium permanganate of a slightly pink color, with a solution of baking soda with a concentration of 0.5%. But if this disease of grapes is already rampant, treatment without fungicides is unlikely to be successful.
For use in amateur vineyards and orchards with the aim of combating fungal diseases, drugs with a fungicidal component, such as Albit, Abiga-peak, Planriz, Integral, are allowed. The processing of grapes from diseases by these means is carried out during the growing season and should be carried out strictly according to the instructions. The most effective preparation "Integral" - a single spraying of the vineyard is enough, and other means need to be carried out from 5 to 8 treatments.
