Each person in the house will find a device that runs on batteries. For example, a remote control from a TV, a children's toy, a blood pressure monitor or some other electronics. We often do not think about what types of batteries are. Just come to the store and buy exactly the battery that we need for our device, in accordance with the instructions. In fact, there is a wide selection on the market for batteries. There are batteries of type AA, AAA, C, D. But there is also a special kind - this is a Krona battery of type PP3. And this is not the whole list of various batteries that have the greatest consumer demand.
In appearance, mini-batteries differ from each other only in size. All of them have a cylindrical shape, with the exception of one type (the Krona battery is a parallelepiped).
Separation of batteries also occurs according to the electrochemical system:
- The salt battery is short-lived. Work in high-tech devices for such batteries is impossible (20 minutes - a record time of its use). The maximum that its work is designed for is a quartz watch or another simple and small device.
- Alkaline batteries have great performance. INhigh-tech devices can work out within two or three hours.
- The lithium battery has broken all records in operating time. It works for more than a month, even in the most powerful devices in terms of energy consumption (even with the device turned on constantly).
Recently, rechargeable batteries have become increasingly popular. They have different charges and are able to work for a longer period, unlike ordinary batteries. But the main feature of batteries is their ability to restore their charge with a charger. These “charges” are typically sold for a specific type of battery. Recently, however, more and more universal devices for recharging batteries have begun to appear on sale (any type can be charged, including the Krona battery).
Batteries of various shapes are designed for various devices. AA and AAA batteries are often used in remote controls, small flashlights,
medical equipment and digital technology. Type C and D devices are used for large lamps and technical devices. In children's toys, Krona batteries are often used.
These power elements also differ in type and in the electrochemical system of batteries, respectively, their cost depends on these factors. The most expensive are rechargeable batteries (the Krona battery can also be rechargeable). Salt has the lowest cost, and alkaline is sold at an average price.
Recently, manufacturers of technical devices are increasingly producing products that use a "Krona" battery, the price of which is small, and the charge lasts quite a long time. It is beneficial to both the manufacturer and the buyer.
