What is a profession

What is a profession? The question seems to be simple, but you must agree that not everyone can answer it. In general, in translation this word means something like “public speaking”. In ancient times, this term was understood as what a person earned his living for, what he did most of the time.

What is a profession today? Approximately the same thing, but now it is also implied that in order to master a particular profession a person needs to undergo special training, which cannot be completed without special makings.

What is a profession?

As mentioned above, the profession requires special training. Of course, a person can do something specific without training, but this is completely different - it's just doing the work. What do you need to be able to deliver mail, carry boxes, paint fences? No special skills. This means that a person who is engaged only in such matters cannot call himself a professional worker (that is, a worker with a profession).

What is a profession? A profession is that in which a person is constantly practicing, improving, developing. In some cases, it is enough to unlearn only once, in others - you will have to constantly undergo retraining.

The profession does not mean episodic, but regular labor. This is due to the fact that skills are gradually lost, and knowledge becomes obsolete.

A profession is a source of livelihood. Otherwise, we can assume that a person does not work by profession, but is engaged in a hobby. Yes, the profession really helps to earn money. It’s great if it’s a pleasure to work on it.

A profession is not the same as a profession or position. In this case, specialty is understood as a certain type of activity within the framework of a profession. For example, a lawyer can be a consultant or lawyer, and a teacher can be a philologist or mathematician. Vocational training is designed so that a person masters the basics of the whole profession and receives deep knowledge in the chosen specialty.

A specific labor post is a post. Not all positions are publicly available - some may be occupied only by representatives of certain professions. Of course, there are such positions that anyone can take.

There are so many professions in the world. They are constantly changing, disappearing, appearing, renaming. The most popular professions today are very different from the popular professions of the past. All this is due to the fact that the world is not static and is constantly changing. Once upon a time there were those who were engaged in physical labor. Today, this kind of work is considered prestigious. The most profitable professions today are associated with banking, law, economics, and management.

Many new professions appeared with the development of information technology. What can I say, one Internet has given the world more than a hundred professions.

What will always be in demand? There are many such crafts. One is superseded by another - it is natural. What to do to people whose profession has become unclaimed? It is advisable that they undergo training and acquire any other skills that would help to get a good job.

I would like to note that today you can study anywhere and for anyone. On the one hand, this is good, but on the other hand, not very. The fact is that today agricultural managers even produce managers, lawyers and other representatives of popular professions. Why it happens? Just because the leadership of these institutions wants to earn extra money again. Do people get good knowledge in such institutions? Not always. It is worth checking three times the place where you decided to go to school.
