American industrial power has many symbolic incarnations. Trademarks from the USA are known all over the world: these are Coca-Cola, Philip Morris, Ford, Boeing and many others that embody the capabilities of the most powerful economy in the world. One of the symbols of Americaโs production force was the John Deere tractors with the emblem in the form of a deer rushing in a jump.
It all started simply. In the state of Illinois, then still, like almost the whole country, mainly agricultural, there lived a blacksmith. He worked hard and talked with farmers. Their fate was not easy: hard work from morning to evening on the field, imperfect tools that often had to be repaired. So the days, weeks, months passed, during which the farmers followed a horse-drawn plow . The name of the blacksmith was John.
And once he came up with the idea that agricultural implements can be improved. In 1837, Mr. Deere created a new type of plow, the material for which was polished steel. The main differences in the further development of this tool of the plowman were his sectional assembly, which allows changing the width of the processed strip, and the presence of a seat that greatly facilitates the work.
Things went, but the former Illinois blacksmith saw the prospect of improving traction for his plows. Man is independent by nature, he sought to ensure that his production had a closed cycle. Since 1888, the plows are equipped with moving machines. The first John Deere tractors were steam tractors.
In the midst of the Great Depression, when all American manufacturers, both industrial and agricultural, were in recession, a new product was launched on the market. John Deere tractors with a two-cylinder engine of their own production of the 1923 model became a bestseller not only because of their high performance, but also because the marketing activities were carried out flawlessly and the conditions of sale did not frighten the farmers even in conditions of low sales of agricultural products.
An important success factor was the willingness to penetrate new growing markets. Mass purchases of equipment were made for MTS of the nascent Soviet collective farms. John Deere tractors came in handy, combining high quality, trouble-free supply of spare parts and affordable price.
Following the traditions of the founder, John Deere Corporation has a bold economic policy whose goal is to promote products on all continents. In the 60s of the XX century, the production of engines and tractors was opened in France, Germany, Japan, Argentina. After conditions arise in Russia for the development of private entrepreneurship, Domodedovo and Orenburg become addresses of new assembly plants of this leading manufacturer of agricultural equipment.
Production, meanwhile, is improving. The John Deere 8430 tractor, manufactured since 2005, has a high degree of automation of various units, including gearboxes and fuel supply systems. This machine is increasingly seen on Russian fields, where it has been widely used due to the high power of the nine-liter John Deere - PowerTech Plus engine and a reliable chassis. Many agricultural enterprises in the CIS countries choose the John Deere tractor. Its technical characteristics are impressive: 255-295 hp, carrying capacity of 11.752 tons, the ability to install various attachments.
