ELDIN OJSC Yaroslavl Electric Machine-Building Plant is a unique enterprise that occupies a leading position in the domestic market in the design and manufacture of electric motors. In addition to electric motors, the company also produces pumps, magnetic starters, vibrators, generators, electric drives and other products.
Description
Open Joint-Stock Company Yaroslavl Electric Machine-Building Plant is a large and reputable enterprise in the Russian machine-building sector. Currently, the company produces a series of induction motors with rotary axes with a height of 71 to 355 mm. ELDIN factory products have received many international certificates for compliance with international quality standards. Products have repeatedly been awarded the highest Russian and international awards.
Yaroslavl Electric Machine Building Plant was one of the first in the Russian Federation to pass European DQS certification in accordance with the international standard ISO 9001. In May 2014, it successfully passed the DQS certification audit. This allows you to fulfill orders of large companies in Western Europe, especially from Germany.
Birth
Yaroslavl Electric Machine Building Plant (ELDIN) has a rich history. The company was founded in the mid-1920s for the production of electric motors and other equipment within the framework of the state plan for the electrification of the RSFSR. It was built by the joint-stock company ACEA (Sweden), specializing in the production of electric vehicles.
In 1928, the plant was put into operation. The first products that came off the assembly line were three-phase motors up to 55 kW and starting equipment for them. Since 1932, the plant began production of powerful engines - up to 500 kW.
Progressive development
The staff of the Yaroslavl Electric Machine-Building Plant from year to year increased production and mastered new products. In a relatively short time, a small enterprise was transformed into a powerful industrial complex. Here were made:
- a wide range of engines (including 700 kW);
- compressors;
- grinding machines;
- cranes
- dynamos;
- rechargeable batteries;
- household electrical products.
During the Second World War, the main facilities were evacuated to Tomsk. In the empty buildings, repair of tanks, tanks, and motor vehicles was quickly organized. When the enemy was driven back from Moscow, production of scarce electrical products, tank starters, and electric motors was again established. For labor feat, the team was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War I degree.
Peaceful time
In 1971-1975, employees of the Yaroslavl Electric Machine-Building Plant launched the production of a new series of electric motors for general industrial use with improved operational, technological and weight characteristics, with a wide range of capacities. ELDIN has become a leading manufacturer of engines with a rotational axis 160 mm high. In 1971, factory workers produced the first prototypes of the 4A series engines.
In the difficult period after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the team managed to achieve good results. The enterprise, which previously produced only asynchronous motors mainly with a height of 160 mm, quickly mastered the manufacture of a new series of electric motors of various sizes, previously produced in other republics. This eliminated the dependence of Russian industry on imports.
Strategic potential
OJSC "Yaroslavl Electric Machine-Building Plant" maintains the competitiveness of its products by improving the quality, updating the assortment and introducing promising global innovations in the field of electrical engineering.
One of the key assets of the company is the advanced training of managers and the participation of personnel in the management and production processes. Another important advantage of ELDIN is the complete production cycle. The design and technology department of the plant can develop the required engine based on customer designs.
Products
Yaroslavl Electric Machine-Building Plant mastered the production of special resource and energy-saving electric machines:
- electric motors that drive steel rolling rollers at metallurgical enterprises;
- cranes;
- submersible pumps;
- gearless elevators;
- synchronous generators for diesel generator mobile units;
- drives with frequency and parametric converters.
However, the main ELDIN products are three-phase squirrel-cage induction motors in an aluminum and cast-iron shell with axial heights of 71-355 mm. They correspond to foreign analogues and even surpass them in terms of energy and initial characteristics, noise, energy consumption, material consumption, reliability, durability and design. Motors are designed for a wide range of applications and can be used with various mechanisms, fans and pumps.
ELDIN also produces:
- explosion-proof electric motors for the needs of energy companies and the chemical industry;
- synchronous generators with a speed of 1500 rpm;
- wide-range electric drives;
- multi-speed motors for elevators, ships.
The company is expanding research and introducing the so-called βsmartβ motors equipped with a regulation system, such as parametric and frequency tuning, starting systems and protection of asynchronous machines. The plant is constantly updating its product range.
