We do not know this for sure, but most likely Petrov will succeed because he took concrete steps towards the goal.

Another student is Sidorov. Just like Petrov, he watched the Summer Olympics and suddenly also suddenly wanted to become an athlete. He notified all his relatives and said that tomorrow he would go to the sports section to sign up, they were trying to extinguish his ardor and say that, in fact, summer was in the yard, and all sections were closed. But the guy is adamant. Parents, of course, are glad that their son decided to go in for sports, but also a little anxious, because before he did not show such zeal and was terribly fond of sweet cakes, but now they will have to refuse them.
But let the adults not worry, for days pass, and Sidorov is in no hurry to visit either the athletics section or the gym. It turns out that his intentions are so, empty dreams. Day and night he lies on the couch and dreams of the laurels of the winner of the Olympics.
As you wish, but we cannot consider it serious plans for the future. By the way, the difference in the behavior of the two schoolchildren brings us directly to the question of how the word “intention” can be replaced. What is his synonym?
Is the dream always empty?
There are several applicants for the title “Synonym of Intent”. We will announce the whole list:

We are used to thinking that a dream is something airy, light and, frankly speaking, having little relation to reality. But this is not the opinion of A. G. And mother wants to quarrel young people with all her might, is plotting, in general, she’s not behaving too dignified. But in the view of the parent, she does her son a favor, because she only wants “good” to him. Mom is interested in her having a “good”, in her understanding, daughter-in-law, and her son wants happiness. Their ideas do not coincide - hell arises. But you can’t argue that my mother has good intentions, but they don’t bring anything good.
