If the latest version of the operating system from Microsoft is installed on your computer, then most likely you have repeatedly thought about how to get rid of the need to enter a password when loading the OS.
Regardless of whether you use a local account to start working with a computer or a Microsoft account, you need to enter it during each download. On the one hand, password protection guarantees encryption, and therefore the safety of your data, and its presence is mandatory in the case when several more people have access to the computer besides you. On the other hand, constant password entry is often inconvenient and can even be annoying if the computer is at your place and you are its only user. In this case, you can simply disable the password when loading Windows 10, which will also save you a few seconds during system startup.
In order to allow the OS to automatically boot the desktop without first asking for a password, your account must be granted administrator rights (most often by default it is on your home computer). Below are several ways you can turn off password entry when you turn on Windows 10.
Method one
Let's try to disable the output of the password request. The standard menu of settings for user accounts of PC users will help us do this.
It is very simple and will require a few simple steps.
- Press the keyboard shortcut Win + R to open the Run window and enter netplwiz in the Open field in it, or click on the magnifying glass icon located next to the Start button and type the command in the search bar.
- In the window that opens, with the name "User Accounts", find the desired profile and select it.
- At the top of the list of PC users, uncheck the box in the box “Require username and password”.
- To save the changes, click the "OK" button.
In such a simple way, you will be able to disable the password when loading Windows 10.
Second way
The registry editor is a system software, through the installation of settings in which you can disable the mandatory input of a password combination when loading the OS.
If you didn’t succeed in disabling the password in the first way, you can use the more universal one - using the registry editor. But here it should be borne in mind that your secret password will be in it in the clear, which makes this method less secure.
- Launch the Registry Editor application. To do this, use the keyboard shortcut Win and R, then enter the command "regedit".
- Select the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion \ Winlogon
- Select AutoAdminLogon by clicking on it and changing the parameter value to one.
- Create a String Value parameter, name it DefaultDomainName and specify the name of the computer or domain in the value.
- Create a similar parameter, declaring it as DefaultPassword, and specify the password from your account profile as the value.
- Now close the "Registry Editor" and to apply the changes, restart the kernel of the laptop or computer.
Thus, you were able to disable the password when loading Windows 10 using the "Registry Editor", and when you log in, you do not have to enter it every time.
Method three: change the password combination
- Launch the universal “Settings” application and select the account section in it.
- Next, open the "Login Settings" section, find the "Password" item and click on the "Change" button below it.
- The system will prompt you to enter the old password, after which you can set a new one. At the same time, if you want to disable the password when loading Windows 10, leave the lines of the new password blank.
Now logging into your operating system will be done automatically.
Fourth method: through system settings
- Launch the “Settings” application by typing the key combination “Win + I” and alternately select “All Settings”, then “Accounts” and “Login Settings”.
- In the window that appears, in the right part of it, find the item “Login required”, and in the drop-down list under it select the value “Never”.
Now, if you are away from the computer for a while, Windows will not require you to re-enter the system by entering a password.
Using all of the above methods, you can easily disable password entry when loading Windows 10, and you do not need to enter it every time you start the operating system.
