early years
Sergei was born in April 1992 in the Khanty-Mansiysk District. In childhood, he was an active child and often caused problems for parents. He was never particularly interested in sports, but at an early age he went to the boxing section. He showed rather good results, but he did not like to wave his fists at all. The guy decides to try himself in biathlon, and he liked it. He will be happy to attend training and will become one of the best among peers. After some time, she realizes that she would like to connect her life with skis. The mother of the future champion was against it, because the training did not allow to fully concentrate on her studies. Despite everything, Sergey Ustyugov continued to practice and hoped to grow into a real professional.
At the age of eleven, he gets the opportunity to do skiing directly. The coach who suggested this to him was sure that here the guy will be able to fully realize his potential and will be able to quickly break into the district team. For some time the young man pondered over the proposal and as a result agreed. Initially, things did not go well with him. Due to the complex nature, the athlete often clashed with a new mentor, and therefore did not demonstrate the expected results. After a while, he completely changes his attitude to the matter and begins to perform stably at various children's and youth competitions. That's exactly what Sergey Ustyugov started. Career in “young men” and in “youth”
After successful performances at the championships of the district, Sergey falls into the list of candidates for the youth national team of Russia. Very soon he was enrolled in the national team, and the athlete quite successfully performed at the junior world championship.
In the 2011-2012 season. Sergey Ustyugov (skier), whose biography is full of many different episodes, goes to the World Cup in Turkey. A few days later, the young man is completely rehabilitated and becomes the first in the “cutting” for fifteen kilometers and wins a skiathlon for thirty kilometers. Even then, they started talking about the Russian as one of the most promising athletes in Europe.
