Brazilian footballer Bernard Anicio was born in 1992, September 8th. Despite his rather young age, he already managed to become famous. Especially in Ukraine. Since, starting in 2013, this football player defends the colors of Donetsk “Miner”.
“Atletico Mineiro”: the beginning
Bernard's professional activities began in this club. At the age of fourteen, he became one of the players in the youth squad. And before that, Bernard Anisio played in FC “Commercial EC to Barreiro”. Moreover, for a rather long time - from 1997 to 2006.
Interestingly, initially they refused to take him to Atletico. Twice he was denied this. Due to growth - Bernard was too low. But in 2006, he still got into the team. And four years later, he was leased to a team called Democrat. This club played in the third division. And the young man was sent there so that he would gain experience and playing practice. In principle, he did so. For 16 matches, he scored 14 (!) Goals. This was a phenomenal result. After that, the club “Atletico” took his junior back. And in 2011, Bernard Anicio Caldeira Duarte was included in the main composition. His debut took place in the same year, March 23, in the game against FC Uberaba.
Further career
Almost two months after his first match in the first team, the debut of the young player in the Brazilian championship took place. And he scored his first year only in 2012, on June 26. It was a match against FC Nautiko. Then, in September, he designed a double. Only thanks to him the team defeated FC “Palmeiras” in that match. In the same year, Bernard Anicio received his first title. He became the champion of the Mineiro League as part of his club.
And in mid-2013, he and the team won the Libertadores Cup, defeating the Paraguayan Olympia in the final match. Interestingly, the young Brazilian took part in eleven matches out of all 14. Not only that, he scored four goals. And three of them were sent in games against Arsenal (Sarandi), held as part of the group stage. He scored the fourth goal against opponents in the semifinals.
In total, during his career in this club, Bernard Anicio scored 12 goals, having entered the field in 62 matches.
Going to Shakhtar
In 2013, a promising Brazilian was invited to play for Donetsk Shakhtar. He agreed. The contract was signed in the same year, August 8, for a period of five years. Interestingly, the player was bought for a lot of money. They paid 25 million euros for it. Bernard decided to play under the tenth number (in “Atletico Mineiro” he wore a T-shirt with the number “11” on his back).
The debut in the championship of Ukraine at the Brazilian took place on August 31. It was a match against Kharkiv Metalist. Soon he entered the field and as part of the Champions League. Then there was a game against FC Real Sociedad. She passed on September 17th. True, they released him as a beginner to replace him. He stepped out instead of Douglas Costa. The first goal, by the way, was also not long in coming - Bernard scored on October 26 in a match against FC Zorya.
National team
In 2012, a young Brazilian was invited to the Brazil national team. Mano Menezes summoned him on September 11 to take part in the match against the Argentine team. Naturally, the midfielder accepted this invitation, but he never entered the field. But his debut still took place, however, a little later. To be more precise - November 22, also against the Argentine national team. He replaced Lucas at the end of the second half.
In 2013, Bernard participated in the Confederations Cup. He played against Italy and Uruguay. He showed himself, by the way, at a decent level. And then, in 2014, he spoke at the World Cup. He went on the field against the national teams of Germany, Mexico and Croatia.

The personal life of him, unfortunately of many fans, is hidden from cameras and paparazzi, but it is known how many titles he managed to win.
