Kazan tram history

It is curious that by the end of the twentieth century in Kazan there were three depots (one today), and the city's tram network totaled 23 routes. But between 2005 and 2013, approximately two-thirds of the existing lines were dismantled. In the near future (until 2021), it is planned to build a ring line for a 33 km long tram route.

The gauge in the city is standard and amounts to 1524 mm, the electrification of the contact network is 550 volts. The cost of a single ride on the Kazan tram (as of 2017) is 25 rubles.
