Alexander Lukovic is a football player who is known not only in his homeland, in Serbia, but throughout Europe. There were many reasons for this, including good individual performance in top clubs in Italy and Russia.
Carier start
Football school for Alexander Lukovich became the football club "Syllable". The Kraljevo team released many talented Serbian players from their walls, and the defender became another confirmation of the high level of upbringing of the players. After playing for the youth squad for two seasons, in the middle of 1998 Lukovich began to fall into the application of the main team, for which he spent 21 matches in two years, having chalked up 3 goals scored.
The prospective player was noticed by the current champion of Serbia, and the defender could not but accept the offer to move to the best team in the country. Lukovich Alexander for the first two years rarely appeared on the field as the basis of “Red Star”. And a year later, the coaching staff decided to send the player on loan to his home club to receive game practice. After six months in the “Syllable”, the defender returned to “Crvena”, and after spending another year trying to win a place in the first team, in the summer of 2003 went on a season to another Serbian club - “Unity”.
After this lease, Lukovic returned more experienced and firmly staked out a place at the base of Crvena. In the 2005/2006 season, the defender won the Serbia and Montenegro Cup with the club, won the national championship, and also began to be called up for the national team. Such success in the development of a talented player could not be overlooked in Europe, and already in the summer of 2006, Lukovic became a player in the Italian Udinese.
Italian tour
However, Alexander couldn’t play immediately for Serie A, an Italian club. Immediately after the transfer, he was sent to another Italian championship team, Ascoli, on loan. As part of the “white-black” defender spent only 12 matches, noting two assists, and in December 2006 returned to Udinese, where he immediately became a base player. Each of the 4 seasons spent in the new team, Lukovich showed excellent football, and in 2010 he received two invitations from Russian top clubs - Zenit and Spartak. And, after much deliberation, the defender chose a team from St. Petersburg.
Relocation to Russia
Lukovich’s arrival coincided with the longest season in the Russian Premier League, and, having played in 11 championship matches, as well as in 6 games of the Europa League, in each of the tournaments having noted two assists, he won the first trophy in the new club and the title of champion of Russia. The next season, Alexander Lukovich spent no less successfully - he often appeared on the field in the starting lineup, but in 2012, due to a series of injuries, the Serb lost his place at the base and was no longer able to regularly take part in Zenit matches.
Homecoming
In the summer of 2014, Alexander Lukovich became a free agent, however, he could not find a new team for the transfer period, having trained on his own for six months. But in December of the same year, the defender was taken over by his former team, Crvena Zvezda, in which Alexander became the country's champion the next season. Now the Serbian defender regularly comes out as part of the capital's club, delighting fans not only with a beautiful game, but also with goals scored.
