Wesley Sneijder is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as the central attacking midfielder in the Qatari club Al-Garafa and the national team of the Netherlands. He has previously performed at such star clubs as Ajax, Real Madrid, Internationale, Galatasaray and Nice. In almost every team, he played a leading role in the midfield, through him, as a rule, all attacks begin. W. Sneijder is a finalist of the 2010 World Cup, in the same year he claimed to receive the Golden Ball.
Biography
Wesley Sneijder was born on June 9, 1984 in Utrecht, the Netherlands. My father was a professional football player, in his footsteps went all his three sons: Jeffrey, Roldney and Wesley. In 1992, the latter was enrolled in the famous youth football academy Ajax.
Early career for Ajax
Sneijder owes his debut in big football to mentoring Danny Blind, who was one of the Ajax coaches. In 2002, he advised head coach Ronald Kuman to play the main squad of the talented Wesley Sneijder guy. First, an 18-year-old midfielder was released for the Cup of the country, and then included in the main team for the game of the championship of the Netherlands on February 2, 2003 against Willem II. A month later, Wesley scored his debut goal for Ajax, and on April 30, 2003 held the first match in the Dutch national team.

In January 2013, Wesley Sneijder moved to Galatasaray. The contract was signed for three and a half years, the transfer value of the midfielder amounted to 7.5 million euros. For the Dutch soccer player, they offered a record amount of wages - five and a half million euros per year. The football community was a little shocked by Wesley's choice, because he received offers from European giants, among which Liverpool showed great initiative. The footballer explained his choice by the fact that he is a champion, and in a Turkish club he sees more chances to become a champion.

In the first season, Sneijder scored 12 goals in 28 meetings for the new team.
