And yet, why today is the threat of a terrorist attack constantly hanging over people's heads? Why do terrorists go on such atrocities, forgetting about their humanity? And which countries suffer most from their activities?
What is a terrorist attack?
This word has its roots in the Latin concept of “terror,” which means horror, or fear. That is, a terrorist attack is a certain event aimed at intimidating people or the state. This is its essence - to make others fear the strength and decisiveness that terrorists possess.
In order to achieve their goal, criminals, otherwise you will not name them, are ready to make any sacrifices. They easily destroy other people's houses and equipment, blow up roads and power lines, and, worst of all, take life from other people. Therefore, a terrorist attack is a crime over everything human, a treacherous violation of all spiritual and moral prohibitions.
Why do people commit terrorist attacks?
It is quite difficult to give an exhaustive answer to this question. After all, every attack is a separate case, based on many factors. Therefore, let us consider only the main reasons why people go to such a crime.
- Disagreement with the current political force or situation in the country. Many terrorist organizations protest against power with weapons. They cannot agree peacefully, and therefore impose their ideas by force.
- Religious beliefs. Blind faith in God can sometimes lead to sad consequences. Many radical organizations and sects use their parishioners as a living weapon, convincing them of the existence of "instructions" from above.
- Mental disorder. Psychopaths-suicide bombers - the phenomenon is not so common, but still it takes place. A striking example is the distraught schoolboy in America, who shot some of his classmates.
However, it also happens that terrorist acts are carried out not for political reasons, but for pleasure or profit. Indeed, for some people, death is an integral part of their life. Let it sound cruel, but without it they no longer feel whole and happy. For such people, a terrorist attack is just a way to dispel boredom and sow so beloved chaos.

Progress is an amazing thing. He managed to give us warm homes, beautiful cars and tasty, albeit not very healthy, fast food. But he also brought weapons of mass destruction, which made the attacks even more dangerous and deadly.
After all, if before the terrorist’s worst weapon was a powder bomb, capable of damaging only a small area, now their arsenal is much wider. Now in their hands are new types of explosives, chemical gases, machine guns and even rockets. And all this is used only for one purpose - to destroy all those who are objectionable to the regime.
But even this is not the worst. What is even worse is that the terrorists have learned to use progress itself for their own good. For example, everyone remembers September 11th when two hijacked planes rammed American skyscrapers. As a result, the machine, aimed at improving human life, has become the most formidable weapon in the hands of the invaders.
Paris attack: causes and consequences
Let's look at a specific case of a terrorist attack in order to better understand what causes them. As an illustrative example, take a series of brutal raids that occurred in the French capital on the night of November 13-14, 2015. The blame for the terrorist attack in Paris was claimed by a Muslim organization called the Islamic State.
Recall that on this day, terrorists attacked the six largest points in the capital. So, they shot spectators in the Betaclan concert hall, blew up a bomb at the city stadium, routed one of the local restaurants, and opened fire with machine guns in the busiest sections of Paris. As a result, more than 120 people died, and even more were injured.
As for the reasons, first of all, ISIS terrorists were unhappy that France was interfering in their affairs in the Middle East. In particular, the country's assistance in the bombing of Syria played a huge role. Well, the caricatures ridiculing Islam, printed in one of the Parisian publications, added fuel to the fire.
What did this aggression lead to? To panic and horror, which, in principle, was required by the terrorists. However, soon these feelings grew into hatred, which means that now everyone who is at least somehow similar to the Taliban villain will be under attack.
Terrorist attacks in Moscow
Alas, Russia also knew the bitterness of losses from terrorist attacks. Moscow has been particularly affected, as it is the heart of this powerful country. The last major terrorist attack occurred at Domodedovo Airport on January 24, 2011. Then the suicide bomber blew himself up right inside the building.
In addition, according to official figures, over the past 11 years in the capital, 628 people have died at the hands of terrorists. Not to mention the fact that their actions led to tremendous destruction and chaos. Nevertheless, we hope that soon the whole world will unite under a common principle, in order to defeat the malicious enemy once and for all.
