Sometimes people commit ridiculous things and do not think about it until they realize that their actions look absurd, stupid and pointless. At the same time, everyone understands the meaning of the word “ridiculous”. However, not everyone knows its origin. And many more do not even realize how ridiculous life situations are.
If there is a "ridiculous", then there must be a "stucco"?
For the ear of modern man, the word "stucco" sounds unusual. Nevertheless, it is in explanatory dictionaries, and in former times it was actively used in Russian speech. Its main meanings: “good”, “beautiful”, “specious”. All this was applicable to people and their actions.
A negative prefix joined the word “stucco” to indicate the exact opposite. So the word “ridiculous” appeared, which at first meant “ugly” and “awkward”, and later - “meaningless” and “empty”.
Over time, the word "stucco" disappeared from everyday life, and the rarely used "lepota" remained with its echo. But its derivative has not been lost for centuries, we very often say “absurd” with synonyms “meaningless”, “stupid”, “stupid”, “absurd”, “delusional” or “absurd”.

To reflect in silence, he made an extension to the palace in Viterbo, the roof of which collapsed on his head.
As for the absurd actions, as practice shows, most of them happen to people very much foolishly. For example, a drunk resident of Kirov, having not found a driver or a conductor in the trolleybus, decided to take himself home. Fortunately, already a quarter later the current collectors were torn off the trolleybus and the unfortunate driver did not manage to break firewood with a drunken ride.
Or a wonderful story with a drunken resident of Grodno, who, when he got home drunk in smoke, managed to fall asleep in the narrow space between the wall and the toilet, where he was taken out by EMERCOM employees.
And sometimes alcohol pushes whole companies to ridiculous acts. So, a dozen well-drunk guys and a girl from the city of Korkino pulled in the middle of the night to enjoy the beauty of their native places from the Ferris wheel. The way up was easy for them, but the unlucky climbers were sent down by the rescuers, whom the frightened guys themselves called and sobered up from fear.
Agree, it is better to look ridiculous and even funny than to do similar acts. Moreover, they do not always end happily, and the heroes often await the sad fame in the criminal news column.
