Century history
The Petushinsky Metal Plant has been carrying its pedigree since 1913. On January 13, 104 years ago, industrialists Efremov and Drozhzhin were given permission to build a turning and carpentry factory in the vicinity of the Petushka railway station in the Vladimir province. In the autumn, enterprising owners opened a company trading house, where they presented a variety of products of their own manufacture.
Power of advice
After the revolution, the Petushinsky metal plant was nationalized. Within its walls, the production of consumables and accessories for textile enterprises was organized. In 1925, the factory was renamed the company "Coil". The name itself indicates what the main products of the company were - spools and spools for looms.
In the 30s, a large-scale reconstruction of the production base was carried out. The main building was rebuilt, the drying and enameling compartments were expanded, a turbogenerator was installed. The factory acquired its own central heating system. Not forgotten about ordinary workers. For them, several residential buildings, a kindergarten, a dining room, and even a club were built.
Unfortunately, war prevented further development. Most of the men were mobilized to the front, the production of specialized products fell sharply. Women and adolescents who remained in the enterprise were entrusted with shooting down ammunition boxes.
Peaceful development
After the war, the work of textile enterprises resumed, and, consequently, the demand for spools and reels increased. However, the capacities of the Petushinsky metal plant were not enough. To increase productivity, they began to introduce new automation and mechanization technologies in production. The output was put on stream.
In the 60s, the plant switched to the manufacture of plastic spools. To do this, it was necessary to change production lines, purchase new plants (crushers, injection machines, etc.). Since 1980, the company has been producing paper cartridges for weaving equipment. By the end of the 80s, the list of products expanded due to a variety of accessories from plastic, cardboard and wood.
Time for a change
In 1992, in the wake of mass corporatization, the enterprise was transformed into CJSC Petushinskaya bobbin-and-reel factory. The collapse of the USSR led to the loss of established ties, because many partner companies were located in other republics that became independent. In addition, in Russia itself, textile production was steadily declining, and the products of the Petushinskaya factory became unclaimed.
In 2002, the fateful board of directors was held, at which a difficult fundamental decision was made to radically change the profile of the company. Instead of spools, reels and technical equipment, it was decided to produce the products that are in demand - metal profiles and metal structures for the construction industry. In 2003, the factory was renamed Petushinsky Metal Plant. In 2007, the Plant of fixtures was attached to it, which allowed to expand the range.
Today
After a series of transformations and modernization of the production base, you can’t even say that PMZ has overcome a hundred-year milestone. This is a modern enterprise that produces innovative high-tech products. Today there are:
