Maryinsky Park: description, building history and modernity

In the south-east of the capital is the Maryinsky Park area and the street of the same name, which stretches from the street. A break to Perervinsky Boulevard. It is about this metropolitan residential area that will be discussed in the article.

Maryinsky park

origin of name

The name "Maryinsky Park" was proposed by the former mayor of the capital, Yuri Luzhkov. It should be noted that during the planning and designing of the area it was called the Lublin field.

The street got its name in 2001 from the name of the residential area.

Description of the area

Administratively, the area belonged to two metropolitan areas: Maryino and Lublino. Currently, it consists of 16 residential districts (due to traditional superstition, the 13th housing estate is absent) and two quarters (when designing the district, they belonged to the Lyublino district, but then were attached to the newly-formed housing estate). The district stretches along the banks of the Moscow River and is one of the most picturesque and modern areas of the capital.

The color scheme of the buildings is beige, light blue, light green, yellow, pink.

The compositional center of the district is Bratislavskaya Street, opened in 1999. It is here that many foreign and domestic trading enterprises are located.

Maryinsky park is sufficiently provided with social infrastructure facilities and is absolutely self-sufficient. In addition to residential buildings in the area there are more than 30 comprehensive schools, about 35 kindergartens, more than a dozen clinics, a huge number of shopping, sports, cultural, entertainment and social institutions.

Here you will not find centuries-old trees, all woody vegetation is relatively young, but this territory can be called a green oasis of the capital. The Maryinsky Park district is famous for its hornbeam and sea buckthorn plantings; it is one of the greenest modern areas of Moscow.
