District History
The name is based on past settlements that once existed in this territory. Previously, in its place there was a village with the name Matveyevskoe, which was subordinate to Matvey Golenishchev-Kutuzov. Another settlement was the ancient village of Ochakovo.
Also on the site of the present district were the villages of Aminyevo and Volynskoye. The most ancient was Volyn. It appeared in the middle of the 14th century. Favorable conditions and being close to Moscow led to the fact that in the first half of the 19th century this place became a summer residence. In the 30s of the century before last, there lived a domestic actor Shchepkin, one of whose guests was N.V. Gogol.
In the 20s of the 20th century, there were summer houses at the party. Later on this place was equipped with an economy, which was called Volynsk-2, created to serve the state. cottages. In Moscow, the territory fell in 1960. After this, development was actively going on here. In the same year, Ochakovo appeared in the city.
Coat of arms and flag
The district has its own emblem and flag. They were officially approved on February 17, 2004. The emblem is made in the form of a shield of the Moscow type with horizontal black stripes on a silver background in the middle. These lanes are a symbol of the Moscow Railway, which divides the district into 2 halves. A silver cross on a red canvas is depicted in the upper right corner, and the image of the sun with a face on a blue background in the upper left. In the lower half on a green background there is a cornucopia with wheat ears sticking out of it and other plants.
The figure of the sun symbolizes a thermal power plant, as well as the owners of the village of Ochakovsky. The cornucopia is a symbol of food combines located in the district. Thus, the emblem has little connection with historical events, it symbolizes modern infrastructure facilities, but is made in the ancient Slavic style.
District population
The population of the Ochakovo district in Moscow is constantly increasing. So, in 2002 it amounted to 90576 people, and in 201-m7 - already 127942 people. Population growth was more intense until 2010. From 2010 to 2012, he was almost absent, and then resumed.
The total area of ββthe housing stock in 2010 amounted to 2255 thousand square meters.
Industry and the environment
A large number of enterprises covering a large part of the territory of the district, as well as active automobile traffic, make this region unfavorable in environmental terms. There are as many as 3 industrial zones. The number of green spaces is estimated as insufficient. Authorities are trying to rectify the situation by transferring dirty plants to other places and installing cleaning systems.
In total, about 300 production facilities operate in the district, including a brick factory, a thermal power plant, a chemical base, an asphalt plant, and a plastic pipe factory.
Transport
It includes ground views, metro and rail. Metro is a new mode of transport for the area. The construction of the Ochakovo station on the periphery is ongoing. In the future, another station can be built - Aminievskoe highway.
Also nearby metro stations such as Victory Park, Kuntsevskaya, Slavyanskiy Boulevard.
Rail transport is represented by the Ochakovo station and the Matveevskaya platform. There are buses in the area, but no trams. In general, land transport is quite well developed.
Social objects
Social infrastructure facilities are standard for all areas of Moscow. At the same time, there are no cinemas, theaters and exhibition centers. The Orphanage is functioning with number 21. Since 1997, attempts have been made to build the unique sports and recreation complex "Aquadrom". However, after three years, construction was stopped, and in 2006 it was decided to remake it into a shopping center.
Under the programs of demolition of dilapidated housing, gradual demolition, reconstruction and construction of residential buildings is ongoing.
Colleges, schools and kindergartens function as educational objects. There is also a university with specializations: economics, computer science, statistics. There are also entertainment clubs in the area.
Thus, the Ochakovo district of Moscow is distinguished by the presence of large industrial zones, an insufficient amount of greenery and entertainment facilities. The subway is poorly developed, but gradually this situation is being corrected.
