International career
Kirill Koltsov is a high level defender. That is why he was regularly invited to play for the Russian team. The debut took place at the Junior World Championships, which took place in 2001. For Koltsov, as well as for the whole team, he was very successful. Our team won gold medals, and Cyril at the end of the tournament became the best defender and got into the symbolic team. Then Koltsov took part in the youth championship. There, our team again won gold medals. For the main team, this defender was also regularly involved. But he could not become a leader. He took part in the 2006 World Cup. And he was often part of the team that played at the Euro Hockey Tour. He did not participate in the Olympic Games.
