From childhood, Jan Mucha was addicted to football, because his dad took an active part in matches at the amateur level and took the position of goalkeeper. Therefore, his father became the first goalkeeper coach. Mom is an avid fan, and Jan’s brother, Matush, also plays football (he is a goalkeeper). The Slovak athlete has four children. The eldest son, according to family tradition, was named Jan. This year he turned eleven, and the boy has been attending football training at the Everton Academy for several years.

The beginning of a football career
In 1997, at the age of 15, Jan Mucha signed his first contract with FC Inter (Bratislava). After four years of professional training, the athlete joined the team "Zilina", where he spent 32 matches. The football club twice became the champion of Slovakia, once won the title of vice-champion and received the Super Bowl of the state.
It was these first two FCs that became a good school for the young goalkeeper. Here, the athlete trained under the guidance of qualified mentors and received a good salary.
Goalkeeper career development
Since 2005, Mucha Jan defended the honor of the Legia team (Warsaw). At the Polish football club, his coach was Krishtof Dovgan. The first year in the team, Jan served as the understudy for Lukasz Fabianski, until the last moved to the English Arsenal (London).

In 2015, Jan Mucha as a free agent joined the team from Bratislava. The goalkeeper signed a four-year contract with the Czech club Slovan.
