Ciprian Marica is a Romanian footballer who is today without a team, but has not yet completed his professional career. He is 31 years old, and his contract with Steaua has not been extended, so from July 1, 2016 he is looking for a new job. Ciprian Marica plays in the position of the central striker, but at the same time is flexible. He can also play on the position of both the right and left winger.
Carier start
Ciprian Marica was born on October 2, 1985 in Romania, where at the age of eleven he joined the football academy of one of the country's strongest clubs - Dynamo Bucharest. He spent all his youth there, constantly developing his talent and demonstrating what he was capable of attacking. Already in the 2001/2002 season, when Ciprian was 16 years old, the athlete was first called into the adult team and spent two matches for her. The next year, the footballer periodically came on as a substitute and appeared on the field 14 times, even then scoring his first goal for the club. In 2003, Ciprian Marica celebrated his coming of age and entered into a professional contract with the club.
Club career
Marika Ciprian is a great talent of her time. In 2003, scouts of other clubs began to look at him, so in his home team he spent only half the season, playing in sixteen matches and scoring six goals. Already in the winter of 2004, the young talent went to Shakhtar Donetsk, who paid five million euros for him. There, the athlete played out the ending of the season, having entered the field in 15 matches and scoring 4 goals.
Marika spent the next three years at Shakhtar, opening up there and becoming one of the key players. In total, the football player played 119 matches for the club, scoring 24 goals in them. The athlete also won three champion titles and one Cup of Ukraine - these were the only trophies in his career.

In the summer of 2007, Marika, who reached the peak of his career, moved to the top championship: in the Bundesliga, Stuttgart paid seven million euros for it. For four years, Marika spent in the โSwabiansโ camp, playing 132 matches and scoring 30 goals, which attracted the attention of one of the strongest clubs in Germany - Schalke. Since the Gelsenkirchen club showed interest in him, Chiprian did not renew the current agreement with Stuttgart and in the summer of 2013 he moved to Schalke as a free agent. There, the player played two years, but could not reach the proper level: in 52 matches, he scored only 9 goals. As a result, the club did not renew the contract with him, and in the summer of 2013, Marika was left without work for the first time.
Only by the end of September, the athlete was able to agree on a short-term agreement with the Spanish Getafe, for which he spent one year, scoring seven goals in 29 matches. The following summer, the footballer moved for free to the Turkish Konyaspor, for which he spent only eight matches, scoring two goals. Ciprian wanted to stay for another season, entered the field one more time, but in October the contract with him was broken by mutual agreement, the reasons for this were not disclosed.
As a result, Marika was left without a club before the winter transfer window, and then signed a contract for six months with the Romanian Steaua. There, the athlete played nine matches, did not score a single goal, did not impress the leadership and in the summer of 2016 was left without work again. But this time the club could not find itself, and as of October 2016, it still had not signed an agreement with any of the teams.
