The Sverdlovsk district of the city of Perm occupies an area of โโabout 122.3 m 2 and includes 16 administrative units: Oktyabrsky, Central, Gromovsky, Yubileiny, Krasnova, Egoshikhinsky, Naked Cape, Krokhaleva, Lipovaya Gora, Nikolai Ostrovsky, Yuzhny, Green Economy, Vladimirsky, Chkalovsky, Sables, Novobrodovsky.

History of the Sverdlovsk region
In September 1936, the district was formed as a result of the division of the city of Perm into three parts. Until 1961, it was called Stalin.
A distinctive feature of this territory is that its entire area is fully populated. There are no forests, as in neighboring areas.
The first settlements that became part of it were villages: Zagarye, Bakharevka, Zyablova, Evsina. At the end of the 19th century, the villages of Kurochkin, Kabai, Moshki, Lipovaya Gora, Nemochaevo, Zhareno, Motvachi, Elders, Solomenka, Kasyany and Red Barracks joined him.
In 1904, the Perm-Yekaterinburg railway was laid and the Bakharevka railway station was built. The area began to grow, and in 1924 it included the villages of Moshki and Starekhi.
In the early 1930s, the working village of the Perm Motors plant was founded. A little later, villages are being built: Vladimirsky, Levanevsky, Egoshikhinsky, Krokhaleva, Chkalovsky, Gromova, Zapadny, Red Builder, Green Economy, and after the war - Oktyabrsky Village and Yuzhny.
In 1958, the Sverdlovsk district of Perm included the villages of Lipova Gora and Sable.
Since 1980, its territory has been expanding. At this time, the village of New Lyady joins, and in 1991 - the residential complex Novo-Brodovsky and the village of Galy Mys.
Economics and industry of the region
On the territory of the district there are 36 enterprises of machine-building, aviation, food industry and more than 300 enterprises of medium and small business.
The industry giant is the Sverdlov plant or Perm Motors OJSC.
