History
This stadium was built in 1969. Its grand opening took place on June 5 of the same year. In 1985, the first restoration work was carried out at the stadium. Initially, the stadium was named after the Lenin Komsomol. However, it was in 1992 that he was renamed the Star. He retained this name to this day. In 2009, the Zvezda stadium (Perm), whose capacity met European criteria, was fully inspected. As a result of this, he received the Second category, thanks to which it became possible to hold matches of the international format in the arena.
Stadium features
First of all, it is worth noting that this stadium is home for two Russian teams at once - Amkar FC and Zvezda-2005 Sports Complex. The first club is male, and the second is female. As for the stadium itself, 17 thousand seats are distributed in four stands. All seats are made of high quality plastic and have a high level of comfort.
On the Western podium there is a press box that can accommodate up to forty people. A new lawn has been laid on the field, meeting all UEFA requirements. It is also equipped with heating and irrigation systems. The arena also has an electronic scoreboard measuring 20 by 8 meters and 142 fixtures that can illuminate the field in four different modes.
Tribunes
As mentioned earlier, the stadium has four stands. They are named after the cardinal points - North, South, East and West. The latter is the largest in capacity - two sectors in it are reserved for VIP guests. There is also a press box and a family sector, where smoking and swearing are prohibited. As for the South rostrum, this is where the sector of the club’s fan organization is located. In addition, an electronic scoreboard is located above it.
The northern stand has only five sectors, one of which is the guest. It is there that the fans of the teams who come to play in Perm from other cities are located. And on the Eastern stand, the 14th sector is noteworthy. It is called the Sirakov Sector. So he was named after the football player Amkar, who spent his entire career in the club and refused to leave even when he was invited to England.
