Eristoff vodka is a strong alcoholic drink that just recently was completely unfamiliar to a Russian buyer. Appearing on the shelves of domestic stores, he immediately attracted increased attention. What is the reason for this interest and why did the unknown product cause such a stir around itself? It is worth talking about this in more detail.
A bit of history
When in 1917 the Georgian prince Alexander Konstantinovich Aristov emigrated from his native country, embraced by the revolution, to France, he did not even suspect that after some time his surname would become known to the whole world. The ancestor of the Grand Duke owned a recipe for vodka, which was developed in St. Petersburg in 1806. Later, in 1956, the son of Alexander Konstantinovich Nikolai passed this information to French winemakers. So, at the end of the last century in Europe, a new vodka “Eristoff” appeared.
Thanks to the efforts of the best specialists, this product, together with the original Russian roots, has acquired real French quality. For its production, only the best food raw materials are used:
- pure water from an artesian well;
- selected grain, which in the process of triple distillation turns into an excellent rectified luxury ethyl alcohol .

In production shops, Eristoff vodka is poured into glass bottles with a capacity of 0.5, 0.7 and 1.0 liters. They are made to special order and have a distinct personality. In the upper part of each bottle on the front side there is a relief image of the princely crown. And below there is a small thickening, on which in the same style the inscription “Original recipe from 1806” is made in a circle. In addition, an unusual container is decorated with a stylish label with text in white and silver colors. Its color, depending on the specific type of product, can be blue, red, black or mixed (blue with green). In addition, the containers are equipped with a logo, which is an image of the head of a wolf that howls at the moon. According to the legend of the manufacturer, this figure is associated with the coat of arms of the immediate creator of the drink. But heraldry experts do not agree with this statement. Indeed, only the lion appears on the family coat of arms of Eristov. So the wolf profile was most likely taken from the insignia of other Georgian princes. But this inaccuracy in no way affects the quality of the product itself.
Manufacturing company
Initially, Prince Nikolai passed the secret of the drink to his friend Count Rossi. Martini & Rossi holding at that time was mainly engaged in the production of sparkling wines and vermouth. The company constantly underwent reorganization, which led to its change of name and scope of activity. Finally, in 1993, she merged with the Bacardi Group. A large company immediately bought from its partner a new, still unknown brand. So, soon the vodka “Eristoff” appeared. The manufacturer spent a lot of effort and money on its advertising. This has yielded results.
Interest in a new product increased every year. Very soon, they began to export it abroad, where the products were in great demand.
