In order to understand what a drawbar means, you need to familiarize yourself with the definition of a given word. In the most common sense, a drawbar is understood as a shafting, through which a wagon is attached to a horse for further movement. There are single and twin drawbars. The design of the latter is made in such a way as to separate the horses in a pair of teams without loss of traction.
It is attached to the front axle of the cart. In Russian, this word is considered borrowed. It came from the Polish word dyszel.

What is a drawbar in the design of the trailer, not every experienced mechanic knows. The drawbar is a lever located on the front of the trailer frame.
The design is A-shaped and I-shaped. It may include:
- Safety cable.
- Hitch units.
- Foldable stand (not available on some trailers).
- Support (wheel) wheel.
- Also, a spare tire can be fixed on it.
The drawbar of the trailer carries the main load. Therefore, the greater the mass of transport of the trailer, the more serious the drawbar construction will be. If the load capacity of the trailer is small, an I-shaped design is used. Accordingly, the A-shaped is designed to carry heavier loads. It does not allow the trailer to swing when driving through holes and uneven road surfaces.
In addition, the drawbar structure of the car trailer can be removable or folding, which, in turn, helps a lot when stored in small rooms.
