Voronezh is a million-plus city, a city of military glory, located 463 km from Moscow. The city stands on the Voronezh River and is the cradle of the Russian Navy. It begins its history in 1585. The city is located in the center of the European part of Russia, in the mid-continental strip. The climate is temperate: rainy summers and not too cold winters (milder than in Moscow).
