In 1974, on June 18, in the city of Castello di Cisterna, Campagna, the future Italian striker Montella Vincenzo was born. The beginning of his playing career took place at the academy of the Empoli club, where he spent 5 seasons since 1990.
Then there was a club that was playing at that time in Series B - “Genoa”. He spent the whole season there, but during this time he managed to become the best striker, scoring twenty-one goals.
Careers in top division clubs
Vincenzo Montella, whose biography contained many interesting facts, was often the top scorer in many clubs and championships.
The first serious club in his career was no exception. It was the Sampdoria Football Club, which played in Serie A. Vincenzo often scoring goals. And this is confirmed by statistics, which speaks of 54 goals scored in 83 matches.
Roma, having noticed this clogged player, makes him an offer to join his ranks after Sampdoria takes off from Serie A. And Montella accepts him. The future club gave 25 million euros for the striker.
From the first games, Vincenzo Montella began to justify such a high cost. For the first season, they scored eighteen goals. However, the next season the footballer rehabilitated and, having played 37 matches, scored 21 goals in them. Life has a zebra coloring, and so the Vincenzo season 2005-2006 did not work out. The career of coach Vincenzo Montella began with the club Giovanissimi Nazionali, in which players play until the age of 15. From the beginning of 2011 he was the head coach of FC Roma, where from the first matches he showed his professionalism.
In June 2011 Montella signed a contract for 2 years with FC Catania, but after 12 months he resigned. A week after that, he was appointed to a similar post at the Fiorentina club. And already from the first season it became clear that professionalism is only growing, because the club, compared to last year, has risen 9 positions in the championship.
At the moment, Montella is the head coach at FC Milan, where he moved from Sampdoria, terminating the contract, which was supposed to last another 2 years.
