Geographic features
Tbilisskaya is located on the Kuban plains, in the middle reaches of the Kuban River, at altitudes of just over 100 m above sea level. It is located on a high and steep bank of the river, but a small part of it descends to the channel itself. The course of the river is slow, and the channel is winding.
Tbilisskaya is located in the zone of active agricultural activity. From the north and east, the cultivated fields adjoin it. In the west there is a reservoir of the sugar factory. On the other side of the Kuban, farmland also prevails.
A ravine passes through the village - Solokhin Yar, which descends to the Kuban River.
Climate
Tbilisskaya is located in the zone of temperate continental climate. Summer is hot and relatively dry. Winter is generally mild, but sudden cold snap does occur with temperatures up to - 20-25 degrees. The period with negative temperatures does not exceed 80 days. The annual rainfall is 600 mm, mostly falling in the form of rain.
There were dry winds in the region in the past, but the creation of a system of forest belts during the Soviet period significantly improved climatic conditions.
Agriculture
Tbilisskaya is located, it can be said, in the very center of the Kuban, and almost the entire economy of this village relies on agriculture. On all sides it is surrounded by farmland. Three types of chernozems prevail in the region, which favors the cultivation of a wide variety of crops.
In total, 114 peasant farms operate in the vicinity of the village, with a total area of ββover 4823 hectares.
Previously, two state-owned enterprises were located in Tbilisskaya: the Kropotkinsky state farm and the Kavkaz agricultural firm. However, the latter was acquired by a company controlled by the famous Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska. At the same time, the leadership was transferred to the Shevchenko farm of the Tbilisi region.
Industry
Industrial production is entirely focused on the processing of agricultural products. The village has a large elevator, creamery, sugar factory, seed factory, oil press factory, Center Soya and New Combined Feed. The latter was opened in 2013 and is focused on the production of granular feed. The development of industry favors the emergence of vacancies in Art. Tbilisi Krasnodar Territory.
Outlets
Tbilisi has a well-developed trading network. Despite its rather modest size, there are a total of 6 supermarkets: 3 Magnets and 3 Pyaterochki. There are also branded stores selling household goods, electronics, and pharmacies of various networkers. A small trading business is also well developed - small shops of private entrepreneurs are scattered throughout the village.
There are also bank branches, including Sberbank.
Transport
The single-track railway connecting Kropotkin (Kavkazskaya station) and Krasnodar is intended, for the most part, for the movement of electric trains. Only a few electric trains pass through it during the day. It is also used by 2 long-distance trains on the route Novorossiysk - Moscow and Novorossiysk - Vladikavkaz.
Automobile communication is represented by the Krasnodar-Kropotkin highway. There are also local roads leading to nearby settlements. The main road bypasses the village from the north, however, intercity buses can pass along the internal roads of Tbilisi. There is a bus station that takes passengers on transit flights to Rostov-on-Don, Maykop, Stavropol, Novorossiysk, Krasnodar. It also stops suburban buses.
