Installation
Jumla should be installed on its own hard drive - if it is planned to launch CMS on a local machine for testing or on a hosting - for a real start of the project. If any of the hosts requires the manual installation of Jumly packages, first you need to unzip the archive and install it on your computer. Before that, you need to make sure that the software installed on the host meets the minimum requirements.
Installation is quite simple: you need to click on the installation file and then follow the instructions. After that, using the FTP client, you can upload files to the server.
You will need to enter information about the site, configure the connection to the database. Installing the Joomla 3.8 template begins after installing the CMS itself.
First step: site information
This page contains basic information about the site and the administrator.
- The name is recorded. This is a required parameter.
- Next, you need to make a brief description of the site. The optimal size is no more than 20 words. Although this part is optional, it must be completed.

Second step: setting up database access

Admin panel
All work in the control system occurs through the administrative panel. It is understandable enough even without reading the manuals. The panel can be divided into 7 components.

- Material Manager - content management.

Download package

Install Joomla Template
Jumla provides three ways to install the template:
- from JED;
- from the catalog;
- from the URL.
JED is the Joomla extension directory. Used to install plugins, templates from the store "Jumly". To install the template you like on your website, click on it, click the install button, and pay as needed.
The option to install the joomla template from the directory involves installing the already unpacked archive, which is located in one of the site folders. First, in the "Install from directory" tab, enter the name of the directory, click the "Install" button.
If any of the templates is already stored on the server, its URL can be used as the installation address. To do this, go to the install tab from the URL, enter the address in the corresponding field, click the "Install" button.
Initial setup
After downloading and installing the Joomla template, the initial settings are made.
- The tab "Binding to the menu" indicates the items for which the template is applied.
- Choose a style name.
- Next, go to the "Advanced Settings" tab. By default, the template loads bootstrap and jQuery - this function can be canceled.
- Fonts are selected, additional styles are indicated.
