Fairy tales are a genre of literature that originates long before our era. From ancient times, all people at all times loved fairy tales. And this is not at all surprising. Any work of this genre carries a deep meaning, teaches the listener the good and reverence of elders. The Russian writer A.N. Afanasyev retold many Russian fairy tales and thereby was able to convey and save them for many generations.
Description of the work
In every tale there is a confrontation between good and evil. "Crystal Mountain" is a fairy tale that confirms this. This work, being a Russian folk tale, carries a deep meaning. The power of evil appears before the reader in different images and always gets in the way of good and happiness. In "Crystal Mount" the road to happiness is strewn with many difficulties, and only having faith in miracles and doing good deeds, Ivan Tsarevich will achieve what he wants, destroy the villains and save the world.
"Crystal Mountain" - a fairy tale with a beautiful name
This name is not accidental. In the plot there is a real Crystal Mountain. In a fairy tale, it resembles a certain cell in which a beautiful princess was imprisoned. A beautiful, but at the same time lifeless mountain covered the princessβs castle more and more. This is the personification of evil, just as in our time the negative spreads in the soul of people, every day filling their hearts with hatred and anger. A reminder of the greed and cruelty of people on the way to the desired. Sometimes it is not easy to break such a spell, but good and true love have unprecedented power.
"Crystal Mountain". Heroes of the plot
As befits any fairy tale, there are positive and negative characters in it. In the fairy tale "Crystal Mountain" is Koschey. A real villain, who is the main instigator of intrigue. If you deal with him, the magic spell will fall, and the sun will shine again in the sky, and the birds singing will be heard. However, such a task is not simple. It is difficult to deal with the villain, because his death is a seed that is in the egg, the egg is placed in the duck, the duck in the hare, the hare is located in the chest, and the chest is hidden in the body of the twelve-headed snake itself. The key to unraveling the death of the villain was good deeds. Ivan Tsarevich helped the forest inhabitants, and they paid back with good. Now Ivan Tsarevich is able to turn into a falcon and an ant, which allowed him to unravel the evil plan of the villain.
Summary
In almost all Russian folk tales, there is a confrontation between good and evil. In the fairy tale "Crystal Mountain", the storyline begins with the three sons asking for the blessings of their father to go hunting. It is here in the forest that Ivan Tsarevich meets the first test. He saw a dead horse, and around it sat animals that could not share it. The hero of the tale needed to help the forest inhabitants cope with this difficult task. The difficulty of the decision was that it was impossible to offend anyone. Using ingenuity and intelligence, Ivan easily coped with the test. For this, the animals awarded him the ability to turn into a falcon and ant.
How Ivan Tsarevich defeated evil
Turning into a falcon, Ivan flew to another kingdom and saw that he was half drawn into the Crystal Mountain. Interested in this picture, the hero decides to turn to the king with a request to take him to the service. As befits the plot of the tale, the kingβs daughter falls in love with Ivan and asks permission to go for a walk with him on the Crystal Mountain. Having approached the mountain, young people noticed a golden goat. Chasing her, Ivan lost the princess. He could not return to the palace without a daughter, he could not look into her father's eyes. Then the prince decides to turn into an old man and ask for a shepherd to the king. By entrusting the grazing of the flock, the king orders the shepherd. That if a three-headed snake arrives, then three cows must be returned, if a six-headed one is six cows, and a twelve-headed snake - twelve heads. But Ivan Tsarevich did not give a single cow, not a single villain. By showing intelligence and courage, he was able to fight the villains.
Turning into an ant, the prince was able to crawl through the crack into the Crystal Mountain. As it turned out, there was a princess who told him the secret of Koschey's death. It was a seed (and there was a seed in an egg, an egg in a duck, a duck in a hare, a hare in a chest, a chest in the body of the most terrible snake). Having won this battle, the prince could not only emerge victorious, but also marry the princess.
What does a fairy tale teach?
Crystal Mountain is a work that has a deep meaning and teaches its readers a lot. Namely:
- Courage. Everyone in any situation is tested. Fate itself checks it for strength, and if you do not show courage, then you can just break.
- Respect for the elders. The tale itself begins with a request for the blessing of the father. The walk of the prince and the princess also happens only with the consent of the parent. And Ivan could not appear before the eyes of the king without a princess. A sense of responsibility towards the older generation should be brought up in the minds of young people.
- The fact that any difficult situation can be overcome if you show resourcefulness and ingenuity. The very death of Koshchei is presented to the reader in the form of the well-known matryoshka. There is always a big one in it, the same in it is smaller, and in that one even less, etc. Opening each in turn, one can cope with difficulties, although sometimes it is tiring and, as it might seem at first glance, impossible.
The relevance of Russian folk tales in our days is not lost. Now in a booming world, the lack of respect for elders, skill and patience is so lacking. People often have no time just to say hello to each other, to listen to the opinions of others. Fairy tales such as Crystal Mountain are a must-read for the younger generation.
