Description
The Coral Pool (Rostov-on-Don) was opened in 1976. Today it is one of the largest and oldest water complexes in the city. It is the main base of the School № 22.
The three-story building has two gyms:
- large - its area is 288 square meters;
- small - with an area of about 57 square meters.
In the large hall there is a pool measuring 50 by 21 m with a bowl of 3600 cubic meters and a water mirror area of 1050 sq. M. The difference in depth is from 1.8 meters to 5.0 meters. The pool itself has 8 tracks 50 meters long, made according to the Olympic standard, designed for training professional athletes, as well as for recreational swimming on the 1st track.
The large pool is equipped with:
- 2 deep viewing windows;
- 78 mud nozzles;
- 106 bottom nozzles;
- 138 overflow nozzles;
- device for damping waves.
The small bowl has a water mirror area of almost 53 square meters. Designed for amateur swimming and water aerobics, children from 6 years old are taught swimming here. The small bowl is also equipped with nozzles for filtering water.
In addition to mechanical purification of water, both bowls are treated with ultrasound and ultraviolet rays, which can significantly reduce the amount of chlorine. It is not only safe for health, but also more comfortable in terms of the absence of an unpleasant smell of chemistry.
The large and small pools are lined with ceramic tiles of the European company VitrA, which meets the requirements of the FINA International Swimming Federation. Therefore, the Coral pool (Rostov-on-Don) is suitable for competitions. A platform for 450 seats was organized for the audience.
The water temperature in the pools is 29-30 ° C, and the air temperature is 30-31 ° C at any time of the year.

The complex is open daily. A large bathtub is available in the summer from 7 am to 10 pm, in the winter from 7 am to 9 pm. The Small Hall is always open from 8am to 8pm.
Most of the time there are training sessions. At specially allotted hours in the pool, additional paid services for training in swimming, water aerobics are provided:
- Monday to Saturday - from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Sunday - from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Cost of visiting the complex:
- for children from 6 to 11 years, 1 hour of swimming in a small pool will cost 140 rubles;
- for children from 11 to 16 years a single ticket (for 1 hour) to a large pool costs 150 rubles, for adults - 180 rubles .;
- a monthly subscription (includes 8 visits) costs 1100 rubles for children under 16 years old, for adults - 1300 rubles.
For certain categories of citizens (pensioners, large families, labor veterans and others) discounts are provided.
