All models of motor cultivators can conditionally be divided into several main categories. Most often, three types of cultivators are distinguished according to the weight, size, engine power, as well as the depth and width of the bevel. This list includes light, medium and heavy devices. Some experts also add ultralight models to this list (in the first case, they are classified as light cultivators). In more detail about each of the above types of this technique we will talk on this page.
Ultralight motor cultivator. The devices of this series have a minimum weight, are small in size. Such advantages provide the opportunity to transport them without any difficulties in the trunk of a car and even if necessary in public transport. They are extremely easy to operate, however, and the processing depth is at a very low level (up to 10 cm). Most often, models of this category are chosen by the owners of flower beds and small beds.
Lightweight cultivator. Such devices have a greater mass and power. They can loosen the soil by about 15-18 cm. Most often they are selected for primary and inter-row cultivation of various vegetable crops. The relatively small mass and grip width provide mobility for such models, so they are optimally suited for use in small areas.
Medium cultivator. First of all, it is worth noting that such devices have increased stability. If necessary, they can be used together with a small plow or hiller and a number of other attachments. Higher productivity allows you to successfully solve quite serious problems on your site. Many models in this category have a reverse gear, which provides additional convenience in the process.
Heavy cultivator. These machines easily cope with loosening and plowing the soil. In most cases, they are purchased by farmers, employees of various public utilities who need constant operation of this equipment. It is worth adding that the models in this category have the widest possibilities for using various attachments. Almost all motor cultivators are equipped with modern four-stroke engines with increased power and performance.
