Radial centrifugal fans are installed and operate at every plant, production, plant or at any other industrial facility, which, due to the shape of the casing, is simply called "snails". Russian-made fans (manufactured in accordance with GOST or TU) are usually marked with BP (radial industrial fan) or VTs (centrifugal fan). Generally speaking, the choice of an industrial fan is made by the designer at the stage of calculating the entire ventilation system of the facility during the engineering design process. It is then that the optimal variant of an industrial fan is selected based on the issued parameters, its overall and mounting dimensions, the specifics of operation and the characteristics of the transported medium.
When replacing an old fan, you just need to rewrite the information about it not on the nameplate (a metal plate located on the case) or in the product passport and contact the company selling fans. Difficulties can arise only if the nameplates are not on the centrifugal fan (erased, unreadable or knocked down for some reason), and the passport is also missing, then you will have to make all kinds of measurements, for example, the diameter of the impeller, its width, the number of blades, size inlet and outlet nozzles to select from the catalog of radial fans suitable.
