Transfer to Litex and rental at Pirin

Stanislav Manolev is a footballer who couldn’t leave Pirin so easily. He spent a whole year at Litex, but could not get comfortable there, having entered the field only five times. As a result, he was sent on loan back to Pirin for six months, played 12 much more impressive matches and scored a goal. In the summer of 2006 he returned to Litex - and then he already got a place in the starting lineup. For three years, Manolev played for this club, becoming a very important part of the team and revealing itself as a very strong flank player. During these three years, he played 81 matches and scored 12 goals. Naturally, such indicators attracted the attention of clubs from more serious championships, and in the summer of 2009 Manolev for three million euros moved to the Dutch “PSV Eindhoven”.

The game in PSV

It was in the Dutch club that Stanislav reached the peak of his career. In the first season, he spent 30 matches, scoring two goals, and in the next two - another 44 matches. However, in the 12/13 season, the 27-year-old defender almost did not receive any game practice - in six months he entered the field only twice. As a result, in January 2013, he was sent on loan to the English Fulham, where he played five more matches.

Relocation to Russia

In the summer of 2013, Manolev’s contract with PSV came to an end, and he moved to Russia, where the Krasnodar Kuban signed a contract with him. There he spent ten matches, after which he moved to Dynamo Moscow. There he played even less - only eight matches, and in the winter of 2015 he was sold for 800 thousand euros back to Kuban. Having returned, Manolev began to fall into the base more often and played 18 matches already, but in the summer of 2016 he decided not to renew the contract with the club, but to return to his homeland. This season, the footballer has played 11 matches for Sofia CSKA, having given two assists.
