Training center "Method": beginning
So the time has come to talk about the institution representing the subject of our study. How was this institution born?
This happened in 1996, when a small non-governmental center was created in Moscow by the efforts of several enthusiasts, lovers of their craft, which allows to prepare stylists and makeup artists privately, "in express mode." However, one should not think that we are talking about some kind of "sharashina office": from the first days of its existence, the aforementioned school of hairdressers had all the necessary licenses for work. Training at the center was built (and continues to do so today) according to the international Pivot Point methodology. We briefly describe this technique below.
Pivot Point - what is it?
So, what is Pivot Point training like? This technology, based not on the inspiration and improvisation of the master, but on geometric calculations, was developed at the beginning of the 60s of the last century in the United States by a professional hairdresser and world champion in this type of art (yes, apparently, there are competitions of this kind )
The term pivot point, which translates as "reference point," the master borrowed from mathematics. While working as a hairdresser and, obviously, sincerely in love with his job, this person dreamed every time to achieve the perfect result in hairstyle and haircut, which would not depend on such changing factors as the presence or absence of inspiration and mood of the stylist. To this end, he turned to exact science - geometry, borrowing from there not only the above term, but also a clear sequence of actions based on preliminary design calculations.
The creation of such a technique and its successful application allowed this master to subsequently become the best hairdresser in the world, a champion. And his technique instantly became incredibly popular and scattered across the planet. Especially it is famous among perfectionists. In Russia, haircuts using the pivot point technique are less known than in Europe and the United States, but we are gradually introducing this technique into our lives, as, for example, at the Metod hairdressing school in Moscow. In general, there are about 30 centers in our country where they teach this technology (there are approximately three thousand in the world).
Today, the pivot point is a technology based on the concepts of the American master of the 60s, his name is Leo Passage, and complemented by other joint developments by hairdressers and artists, as well as teachers and scientists.

Training center "Method" in Moscow: next steps
Having been formed, as already mentioned, in 1996 (that is, more than twenty years ago), the center of the “Method” at first was not a “Method” at all, but was called the same as the technique used, that is, Pivot Point. The current name appeared at the center of hairdressing in 2003. And three years ago, a non-governmental educational institution became a private center of continuing professional education, a nominee and laureate of many competitions, and the owner of a large number of prizes and awards.
