Avaluation of Bills
A new product for representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, which started in five regions of Ukraine, is avalanche of bills. You can issue it, including through the central branch of Oschadbank in Kharkov.
Under this program, the bank is obligated to make a payment on a bill if the client does not fulfill its obligations. The following are subject to avalanche:
- commodity bills issued for settlements for goods related to the manufacture and processing of agricultural products;
- tax bills proving the taxpayer’s obligation to pay the budget.
Avaluation of promissory notes and bills of exchange is also carried out by representatives of the MSMB. You can learn more about the conditions for the provision of this service by visiting the offices of Oschadbank in Kharkov or by calling the hotline.
The demand for this service is very growing at agricultural enterprises. A lease is not only an additional source of working capital, but can also become an alternative to classical lending. Moreover, the rate for providing such a service is only 2.5%. To test the project, regions were selected in which the demand for this service is the highest.
Banking News
The events of 2014 influenced the situation in the banking market. Many lending institutions needed the help of a regulator. The National Bank has developed individual recapitalization programs and provided funding. To date, the twenty largest institutions in the country have been capitalized. The full program was implemented by two state institutions - Oschadbank and Ukreximbank, as well as Aval, VTB and UkrSibbank. Ukrsotsbank, OTP, Pivdenny and Prominvest managed ahead of schedule.
The share of capital in the structure of sources of financing for all of the listed credit institutions reached 5%. The adequacy of regulatory capital in the entire system as of August 1 was 13.84% with a minimum of 10%.
According to the plans of the NBU, the next stage of system restoration is the specific weight of 7% by the end of 2017, 10% for 2019. Of the twenty largest financial institutions in the country, Ukrgasbank, ING, Agricole Bank and Citibank do not need financing at all, and Fidobank and Khreschatyk have already gone bankrupt.
A new market direction - a bank in the phone
The largest public financial institution OJSC Oschadbank back in 2015 served customers through 4949 branches. Today, only 4559 points are actively working. As a result of modernization, 390 branches were closed or restructured. And this is not the limit. Until the end of 2016, there will be about 500 new branches in the country, and by the end of next year - 750.
The reality is that the financial services market is gradually moving to digital communication channels. Competition is now carried out not between bank branches, but between terminal networks, online services. The transition of the form of work to a digital service channel leads to an unreasonable increase in the cost of supporting the work of departments. The management strategy is changing. After 2-3 years, most of the branches will no longer be in demand.
In fact, the customer’s need for live communication will only be about informing about new banking products. Even cash transactions are gradually moving to iBox terminals.
Ukraine picked up the global trend. Maintaining bank branches is expensive. Therefore, there is a massive transition to self-service. A vivid example of this is Privatbank. In each department, employees teach people how to use self-service terminals.
Ukraine is a country of cash. This situation will not change in the next twenty years. Therefore, to work with money, people will need at least terminals and Internet banking.
Oschadbank and Ukreximbank will sell the EBRD
As part of the banking sector refinancing program, the issue of selling up to 20% of the shares of two state-owned banks by 2018 is being considered. But if back in 2015, these conversations were related to the fact that both banks were facing default, today this step is considered as a new development strategy. The entry of the EBRD and the International Finance Corporation into state-owned banks will improve the quality of asset management. Oschadbank, which is engaged in lending to legal entities, and Ukreximbank, which finances export-import operations, will switch to work with the population.
