Year of foundation of CSKA: dates, history of creation, interesting facts

Football is a game of millions. Football teams always have a lot of fans. This is especially true for teams that have a long and glorious history. If we talk about Russian football, then Moscow army men can be called such a club with history. The foundation year of CSKA Moscow - 1911 (August 27). There is also a misconception about the club’s founding date. It says that the year CSKA was founded is 1923. But this is not so. The club has more than a century of history, which knows many dramatic defeats and brilliant victories, including in the European arena. But we will deal with everything in order, because the dates are not so simple for the club, especially when it comes to the year CSKA was founded.

History

The modern club CSKA even has a different name, since at its very foundation it was called OLLS. The year of foundation of FC CSKA, or rather, the OLLS (Society of Skiing Lovers), dates back to the distant 1911 year. Under OLLS, a football section was created, and three teams were created on its basis. From the very first year of their existence, these teams began to play in the Moscow Championship (class “B”).

First match and title

The date of the first official match is August 14 (27), 1911. The game was against the Vega club. The victory was on the side of future army team (score 6-2). If you recall the titles of those years, then you can name the victory in 1917 in the Kazan League (championship teams that were based in country cooperatives along the Kazan Railway). This title brought the team a class “A” in the championship of Moscow. Here the team remained until 1922. The summer season of 1922 was the last for the OLLS team.

Soviet influence

In 1923, big changes broke out, and the sport of the "bourgeoisie" began to drive into the framework of socialism. All previously existing sports associations were closed and disbanded, instead they created departmental teams.

OLLS athletes entered the new community, which they referred to as the Vsevobuch Experimental Demonstration Ground (OPPV), this association was a division of the Red Army. It is for this reason that many believe that the year CSKA was founded is precisely 1923, but this is not entirely true. The goals of the CPAP are the general and military training of future recruits and their physical recovery. Also, the development concerned the already existing fighters of the Red Army.

In the same year, the authorities dissolved the Moscow Football League. She was replaced by primacy, which included eight departmental teams. Newspapers of the time referred to this league as the “newly created league in the Dynamo society.”

In the summer season of 1926, the Moscow army team managed to win this new championship of Moscow in class “A” (the new league was officially named after that). It is worth noting that, in fact, the championship was not played out until the end, because there was an expansion of the class to fourteen teams, and also due to a very poorly thought-out game calendar, by November 1926, there were un played matches, but they still elected the champion, he became the leader championship at that time - the team OPPV.

Club CDKA

February 23, 1928, on the day when the tenth anniversary of the Red Army was celebrated, the Central House of the Red Army named after Frunze was opened in Moscow. A sports department was organized at this house. In the same 1926, the OPPV was transferred to this very Central House of the Red Army, and now it was called the Central Military District. This year, the championship of the capital included only six teams. CDKA took 4-6 place in this championship.

But in 1935 the club CDKA won the championship of Moscow. I must say that the favorites of that draw (Dynamo and Spartak) played the second squads, because the best players of the teams were involved in the USSR team.

Victories of the “lieutenant team”

In 1936, it was the first to host the USSR Football Championship. From the very year of its founding, CSKA, or rather CSKA, has played in this league. In other words, the modern club CSKA can be considered one of the teams that formed the national championship at the very beginning. The CDKA club won its first match with a score of 6-2, the match was against Krasnaya Zarya. In that year, the club CDKA finished the spring championship of the USSR only fourth place.

In the autumn championship of the same 1936, the CDAA club took the last (eighth) place at all. In fact, eighth place is a ticket to Class B, but senior military officials intervened. The next season, the CDKA club started in class “B”, but very soon the class A ”was expanded, and one team from class“ B ”was included there, it is easy to guess that the CDKA was this team.

But these actions did not lead to anything, in the 1937 season the CDKA again finished the championship at the last line of the standings (ninth place). In theory, the team was supposed to fly out again, but the next expansion of the major allied league passed. Now it included twenty-six teams, CDKA was among them.

In the same year, military officials strengthened the club with the help of promising conscripts. In fact, strong players from competing teams were drafted into the army and flirted for CDKA. After this strengthening of the team, the Moscow army team finished the championship in second place. In other championships (in the pre-war period), the CDKA occupied the third and fourth places.

War time

On June 22, 1941, a match was scheduled between CDKA and Dynamo from Kiev. The match did not take place, because in the morning the city was bombed. This was the beginning of World War II. During the war, many CDKA players wrote reports and went to the front, but the club management tried to keep the most valuable personnel, and the training continued.

In March 1942, CSKA football players with secondary education went for short-term training at the military faculty. After this training, sixteen players of the team received the rank of second lieutenant. For this reason, the post-war CDA was called the “lieutenant team”.

During the war, at the Moscow Championship (in 1943), the CDKA club became the champion, and the USSR Cup was renewed in 1944, in which the CDKA reached the final, but lost to Zenit from Leningrad. In their first season after the war, the army team from Moscow fought a confrontation with the capital Dynamo. Dynamo won the championship, and the cup took the army team. The championship of 1946, the CSKA players won without problems, and in 1947 they won the championship again, but this year the winner was revealed only in the last round and only by the difference in goals scored and goals conceded. The following year was the championship again, and again it was obtained in a bitter struggle, which lasted until the very end of the championship, in the same year the army team took the Cup of the country. In 1949, the team finished in second place. In 1950, the Moscow army team again became champions.

The team began the season of 1951 with its new name CDSA (Central House of the Soviet Army), this year the club took both the country's championship and the cup. Some mistakenly call the year CSKA was founded 1951, this is not so, this year there was only a change of team name.

Dissolution of CDCA

In 1952, the USSR national team participated in the Olympics. This was the first performance of a football squad from the USSR at such competitions. The backbone of the team was made up of CDSA, the club coach became the national team coach. In the 1/8 finals, the USSR national team took off. This is not the result that the country's leadership was waiting for, and soon the football players of the club learned about order No. 793 of August 18, 1952, which announced the disbandment of the team. The results of the team in the championship of that year were canceled, the club was disbanded, and the players were distributed to other teams.

Club Recreation

There was no club for only one year, after major changes took place in the ranks of the country's leadership, it was revived. The year of foundation of the football club CSKA, or rather the revival of CSKA - 1953. In 1957, the team changed its name to CSK MO. This is also just a change of name, and not the year of foundation of CSKA. I must say that the story with the names did not end there either. In 1960, the team began to be called, finally, CSKA. There are people who believe that the foundation year of CSKA (Moscow) is exactly 1960. But this year the team found only its modern, familiar name. For this reason, this year cannot be considered the date of foundation of the club. Until 1970, the team performed very faded and gray, the title was won only in 1970.

Twenty years without a championship

After winning the national championship in 1971, the next title went to the army team only in 1991. That season, CSKA football players defeated Dynamo from Moscow and won the championship gold medals in one round before the end of the USSR Championship. In the same year, the team won the USSR Cup.

The collapse of the USSR

After the collapse of the USSR, the football league broke up, and it was created from scratch. Twenty teams played in the new league. The army team finished the first new championship in fifth place and lost in the final of the Cup of the country. It was a difficult time not only for CSKA, but for all the football of the countries that until then were part of the USSR. If we analyze the current results and ratings of clubs in the post-Soviet space, then the representatives of Russian football look best in Europe.

CSKA team match

Champions League

The army team first played in the Champions League in 1992. Many fans joke that this year is the Euro Cup year of foundation of CSKA. CSKA football club performed well in Europe that season, although it could not leave the group.

In general, it is necessary to give back to the club CSKA, in modern Russia this club always remains in the elite of the country's championships and adequately represents our country in Eurocups, despite not the most impressive budget, even by the standards of our championship.

2001-2008

This period is the best in the history of the club. This year, the army team won almost everything in our championship and Cup, except for that, in this period (in 2004), CSKA football players took the UEFA Cup (now this tournament is called the Europa League). In the Finals of the horizontal bar, the army team beat Lisbon Sporting. The match was held in Portugal, with a full stadium. Almost all fans supported Sporting. CSKA during the final match were inferior to 0-1, but were able to get together. Final score: 3-1 in favor of the players of Moscow CSKA.

Modernity

Yes, today the club is hard, but the team has the pivot and proves its character from match to match. The game is always worthy of the army team. Whatever personnel problems the club may experience, players and coaches can always offer something to an opponent of any status and rank.

Solo passage

Total

1911 is the year of foundation of CSKA Moscow. Football is a game outside of politics, FC CSKA proved it by example, the club has seen many revolutions - both football and political. But in spite of everything, this team was able to reach our days with a rich history and many titles of different calibers. Fans of rivals either respect this club or hate it. There are no indifferent fans for this team, and it is precisely the indifference of the fans that is a sign that the club is not interesting.
