Two-component adhesive is a group of high-quality adhesives that do not contain solvents. The main components are resins (binders) and hardeners (separately stored, can be either in suspension or in powder).
As a result of a chemical reaction that begins after mixing these two components, the composition hardens, acquiring after only a few minutes the initial bonding strength. The curing rate is largely dependent on temperature and the quality of the preliminary stripping. The final strength is gained after a few more hours.
Two-component epoxy glue is prepared clearly according to the instructions, in accordance with the proportions indicated in it and the exposure time. When gluing two parts, an activator can be applied to one part and resin to the other. When connected, the components are contacted as described above.
The main area of application of epoxy glue is non-porous materials (all but synthetic), which must be glued securely. For greater strength, the resin can be reinforced with fiberglass. This technique allows you to solve complex problems that arise, for example, in the repair of machines. Sometimes a high proportion of metal powder is added to a two-component adhesive and used as cold welding. The parts connected in this way have increased strength.
Particularly strong and reliable is the two-component
polyurethane adhesive used in almost any field. It perfectly glues leather blanks with soles, wooden elements (including heavy ones), aluminum, glass, metal, natural stone. This two-component adhesive is not afraid of dampness, therefore, it is suitable for construction work in rooms with high humidity (for example, in the bathroom, in the bath, etc.). It is ideal for work related to laying tiles (including for laying out drawings and mosaics), for gluing joinery, for decorating facades with stone.
Thanks to polyurethane glue, laying the “warm floors” system saves not only time, but also money and effort. Regardless of the type of flooring, after eight hours you can not only walk on it, but also arrange furniture. This glue (unlike analogues) is almost not elastic, and therefore does not shrink and does not stretch. These qualities are maintained even under very intense load.
Reliability is one of the main selection criteria for shoe factories and small shoe shops. Regardless of the structure of the sole (PVC, porous, etc.), polyurethane shoe glue grabs surfaces so firmly that it is simply impossible to tear them apart after drying. Such shoes are not afraid of rains, gives lightness, comfort and enjoyment.
Two-component adhesives (polyurethane, epoxy) are particularly strong and durable, perfectly fix parts, joints, joints and confidently displace analogues. They are used in almost all types of work, regardless of difficulty level. Ceramics, tiles, bricks are set to death, which is why those who have already used two-component glue, choose it again.
