Artek uniform is a special tradition of the camp

The Artek International Children's Center is not just a camp, it is a separate world that welcomes thousands of boys and girls every year. Everyone who has ever visited this center will forever remember and absorb the special atmosphere and romance of this wonderful place. โ€œArtekovets today - Artekovets alwaysโ€ is the motto of anyone who once visited this childhood planet. Each of the camps of the complex has its own traditions and customs, which are passed down from generation to generation, from shift to shift.

One of these traditions is the obligatory form of Artek. In the first days of their stay in the camp, many fashionistas and women of fashion are not satisfied with the fact that they are necessarily changed into a uniform. But by the end of the shift, every Artekovets dreams of taking this piece of the camp home with him.

Why is the uniform form introduced in the camp?

The Artek form was introduced from the very beginning of the camp in 1925. It symbolizes the equality and unity of all children on the planet, contributes to the unity of the team and each time reminds the pupils that they have become members of one large Artek family.

What forms did Artek have?

The first sets, even before the war, were white shirts with shorts for boys and canvas dresses for girls.

After World War II, a khaki uniform appeared in the arsenal of the camp, and shirts began to differ in color (depending on the camp).

At the end of the twentieth century, there were several sets of clothes for Artek residents: ceremonial, sports and everyday. T-shirts, skirts, sweaters, sweatshirts, trousers for winter shifts appeared. Also a mandatory attribute have become caps as a symbol of pioneering.

A feature of "Artek" is that the form is required not only for children, but also for educators and counselors. They also have several sets of clothes: formal, sports, casual. In addition, each of the camps until the last reorganization of the camp purchased branded T-shirts with the emblem of the camp. So, the counselors of the "Forest" camp were the owners of green T-shirts with a picture of a hedgehog, "field workers" wore blue t-shirts with a picture of honeycombs, etc.
