Walking around the Internet, a description of one interesting case. Once a psychiatrist on a medical examination asked the recruiter: "How is the moon different from the sun?" The draftee was a smart guy, respectively, answered: "The moon is the satellite of the Earth, and the sun is the star." The doctor was surprised: "Are you a moron? The moon shines at night, and the sun shines during the day."
To each his own
For an ordinary person, asking such questions is absurd. It's like asking how God's gift differs from scrambled eggs. That is, such questions will lead to long and lengthy discussions around these objects. Or they may end in a quarrel or brawl. So with the question: "How is the moon different from the sun?"
But you can look at the problem differently. By asking such puzzles to themselves or others, people involuntarily experience intelligence. A kind of test for the ability to recreate your personal ranks of associations on a specific issue.
Each individual has his own life experience. And also any person has a set of mental constructions with which he is trained and used to work (think).
That is, from the above it follows that the question "How is the Moon different from the Sun" everyone has the right to answer with his version of the associative-mental scheme. For example: "The moon is a satellite, and the sun is a star." One student will tell you that the distance from these astronomical bodies to the Earth is different. Perhaps the other is that the moon only reflects the light, and the sun itself gives it away. And so on (you can dream up and come up with your own interpretation).
The opinion of the therapist
What is the difference between the moon and the sun? Psychology should not be interested in such issues. From the story at the beginning of the article it is clear that the doctor knows the correct answer. He considers it to be true: the moon shines at night, and the sun shines during the day. Apparently, everyone else treating will be given a certain inconsistent diagnosis?
It is good if this diagnosis does not offend a person (and a draftee may even be happy). And if such an outcome is not needed? After all, a career or hope for a job position, etc., can be destroyed. How can I be here? I would like to explain to such a "doctor" that we cannot expect uniformity in mental activity from different personalities.
If everyone reasoned the same way, then the paintings of the Impressionists, abstract artists would not have been created and would not have been born to the world of Picasso and Dali. Then on their canvases everything would be clear to everyone ... It's boring, isn't it?
The analysis of the "moonlight"
So how is the moon different from the sun? And why did they get that the moon shines at night? After all, she does not shine at all! She, as we mentioned above, only reflects and sends reflected light to the earth. In fact, the Moon is a lifeless, dull, gray object, sadly flying around the Earth. And the sun - does it shine during the day? It also shines at night, but it happens on the other side of the Earth. But it sends its light continuously! That is the point.
In the end, I want to say: no matter how idle the questions may be, no matter how psychotherapists tidy up, the main thing is to remain calm and reason logically. Just like your own brain is used. And as taught by "life universities."
So, after all, how is the moon different from the sun?
