Psychosophy is a typology of people, which is based on an assessment of the importance of the individual's priorities. Unlike other typologies, psychosophy can undergo changes, for example, if a person once experienced any upheaval. That is, if the socionic type of an individual is obtained from birth, then the psychosophical type is formed throughout life. Most often, global changes do not occur, since it has been forming since childhood. These are petty grievances against friends and parents, misunderstanding and omissions, praise of loved ones and so on.

The psychosophy of Afanasyev is one of the most famous topologies. He identified four areas of life for each person, which are distributed in priority order. They are called like this:

- emotion;
- physics;
- will.
Each type is formed depending on a specific combination of these four areas. To make it easier to understand, each type gets a name depending on the first letters of these parameters.
