We are all hiding something, hiding it from prying eyes, putting locks, inventing security codes, etc. And all would be fine, but at one fine moment each of us may find ourselves in a situation when the access password is forgotten.
It doesn’t matter for what reason this happened, maybe you haven’t used it for a long time, or it is due to the fact that one of the "well-wishers" in spite of you replaced it. I forgot the password on the computer. What to do?
There are several ways to solve this problem. It all depends on which account the password is created on. If yours, then it is fearless and easy to solve. But if the password is on the Administrator account, then you already have to sweat a little. So, let's look at all these possible cases in more detail.
Problem number 1. The password is on your account. In this case, to unlock the computer, you will need to log in as Administrator. And for this:
- Turn on the computer, and while it is loading, press the F8 key.
- Choose from the proposed boot options for the operating system "Download in safe mode" and press the "Enter" key.
- In the window where it will be offered under which account we would like to log in, select "Administrator".
- The computer has booted. Go to the "Start" menu, then open the "Control Panel". We look for the item "Account Management" and delete the account whose password has been forgotten.
Do not rush to restart the computer. Now you will need to create a new account. And so that in the future you do not have to ask again: “Forgot your password, how to turn on the computer?”, Protection can no longer be set on it. Problem number 2. The password is on the Administrator account. In this case, you will not be able to log into the system. Therefore, try downloading the file manager from the OS installation disk. - Wait a few seconds and return it to its original state.
