The psychological, medical and pedagogical commission is not only an examination of children or adults with certain health problems. This is also the name of the body that should conduct the diagnosis, as well as determine the correction program that will help a person adapt in modern society and realize himself. It consists only of professionals: speech therapists, doctors, psychologists, as well as administrative staff.
Why is a commission drawn up?
This body should be created if there are children in the team who need support. The psychological, medical and pedagogical commission must decide who will accompany the child, monitor the dynamics of the correction program, as well as its effectiveness.
Such a consultation is being created from the specialists of the educational institution in which the problem was discovered. If the school (kindergarten, boarding school) is not able to attract staff from its own staff, then they can ask for help from the local (district) authorities with the request to provide them with the necessary staff.
All materials must be with the chairman of the commission. Moreover, they can not be destroyed during the entire period of observation of the child. During the diagnosis, it is imperative to take into account all age and individual characteristics of the person.
Tasks of the PMPK
The psychological, medical and pedagogical commission is convened in order to implement:
- Diagnosis and support of children with certain health problems throughout the entire educational process;
- examination of children who have certain difficulties in learning, communication, adaptation to the outside world;
- Creation of an effective
program of development, correction and assistance to children with health problems;
- The psychological-medical-pedagogical commission should identify all the reserve capabilities of the child, which will help optimize the educational process;
- monitoring the effectiveness of the rehabilitation program;
- The organization of a healthy social environment for the normal development of children, which is characterized by the exclusion of any traumatic mental, physical and emotional health factors of the children;
- fixing the dynamics of the development of the child and the effectiveness of rehabilitation.
It should be noted that the creation of the commission can be initiated by both the teacher and parents.
Varieties of PMPK
In most cases, when the patronage of specialists covers several educational institutions of the city, a district medical-psychological-pedagogical commission is created. It should work on the basis of the results that it receives from full-time specialists. Professionals of the regional level can be involved in work in the commission. Naturally, it has territorial restrictions: it operates within a certain district.
However, the district council is subordinate to the main state body. The central psychological, medical and pedagogical commission usually consists of the best specialists in the country.
In principle, there are no special differences between the actions of the presented consultations. They are all aimed at the successful adaptation of children to life in society. Differences are observed only in the composition of specialists and their numbers.
