After the war between America and Spain, the colony passed into the possession of the United States. Since then, English began to spread here.

The second official language is Filipino (pilipino). The basis of it is Tagalog. This is the dialect of the capital of the Philippines, Manula. The Tagalog language itself is an interesting mix of Malian, Spanish, Hindi, Sanskrit, Arabic, English and many local dialects. So it turns out that pilipino is a language mixed from many dialects.
