Adlan Amagov is a professional Russian mixed martial artist. Performs in tournaments in combat sambo (champion of Russia), hand-to-hand combat, classic sambo, universal fight (European champion) and integrated martial arts. Amagov is a master of sports of the Russian Federation in hand-to-hand combat, sambo and integrated martial arts. His person is notable for the fact that he became the first Chechen athlete who managed to break out into the highest world division MMA-UFC.

The future champion was born on October 20, 1986 in Grozny (Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, Russia). In a traditionally Chechen family, his father was a military man and his mother a housewife. Adlan has a brother, Musa Amagov, who also practices mixed martial arts on a professional level. He is the champion of Finland (received Finnish citizenship).
From childhood, Adlan Amagov became interested in martial arts, like all Chechen guys. Together with his brother, he visited the combat sambo section. Gradually increasing their skills, the guys began to break out into major competitions and show a decent result.
Professional league
The debut fight at a professional level took place on November 23, 2007. Then Adlan Amagov met in battle with the titled and experienced Alexei Oleinik. Unfortunately, Adlan lost his first fight. However, the following battles ended in success for the Chechen. Amagov's first promoters were ProFC, under whose auspices he spent 6 winning fights. In 2011, Adlan Amagov signed an agreement with Zuffa (the owners of Strikeforce are an American mixed martial arts promotion company).
Collaboration with Strikeforce
Under the auspices of Strikeforce, fighter Adlan Amagov began performing since July 22, 2011. He won the first fight by unanimous decision. The second took place against Anthony Smith, who on his account did not have a single defeat. Gathering all his will into a fist, Adlan Amagov entered the ring and from the first seconds of the battle began to carry out a series of successful attacks, which subsequently ended in a knockout in the first round. As a result, the Briton crashed to the platform with a roar.
In January 2012, Adlan met with American fighter Robbie Lawler and lost to Strikeforce for the first time. In the middle of the second round, Robbie made a series of high-quality blows to the body, which allowed a quick knee to hit the head, after which the Chechen athlete fell to the floor. And after Lawler struck a series of final blows, and the battle ended with a knockout.
Six months later, Amagov again entered the ring and fought with Keith Bury. Apparently, Adlan has accumulated enough aggression from the last fight that he managed to knock his opponent out in the middle of the first round.
Recent events
At the end of 2013, the media reported that Adlan Amagov was ending his career due to religious motives. According to the athlete himself, he simply took a temporary break to solve family problems. In 2016, he returns to MMA and takes part in the League S-70 tournament, held in Sochi. Here, in the first battle, he managed to knock out the Brazilian fighter Dirley Broenstrup in a magnificent style with a blow to the head.
